It has very good quality. It doesn't work very well to my little fellow, because he will pull if he wants, doesn't matter what... But it says more about him than about the collar lol. The collar is amazing.

Best Collar we tried for 10 lb chihuahua

GET THIS ONE! :) We tried other martingales with clips and other brands, and this is the best. We use the collar in combination with private/group training to prevent slipping out of collars. It is amazing. I cant say that enough. Our chihuahua is 10 lbs and the XS works great. Her neck measure about 9-10 inches. It is very durable, easy to clean, and a good width for her neck size. I wish it came in different colors, but that is the only thing.

Bit larger loop than I expected for a small dog collar.

Was a bit larger than what I expected and the "loop" was very large. I ordered this for a 8 lb. Chihuahua mix who I just too in for foster and is very scared. Luckily, I tried it out inside before we sent out. Even with the collar adjusted as far as it could go, she easily slipped it over her head. The neck measurement should have been spot on, but it was larger than I expected. I will keep it for another larger small dog, but was not exactly what I expected and have used other Martingale collars from this manufacturer before and been very happy. The collar itself seems sturdy and well made, it is just the sizing seemed off and the "loop" was large enough she would have been tripping over it if I left it on her other than going for walks.

When I fostered my chow chow in early April 2014, this was the kind of collar the rescue group had put on her. It is also the kind of collar they recommend in their adoption materials. So, when I adopted her in May 2014 I bought this collar for her. It's perfect for her. I like that the collar is adjustable so that she's never really choked by the collar. The collar tightens, but it only tightens until the square metal rings meet. This is different from most other choke collars that have nothing to stop them from choking as tightly as possible. This is a far more humane collar. My dog doesn't really pull on walks except when she smells something really exciting and she heels really well. I like that the collar is loose on her neck most of the time. I think it keeps her more relaxed on our walks. In fact, when I give her the slightest direction on the lead, she feels it and follows along. I have as much control over her movements as I do with a horse using its reins, and just as subtly. You wouldn't think that with a looser collar this would be true, but it is. Of course, all dogs are different. Another thing that makes this collar perfect for me and my dog is that I can use the loop as a short "handle" to help direct her when we're inside. She's totally blind, and she sometimes finds herself in a corner and can't find her way out. I only have to grab the loop and gently direct her in the right direction. Very helpful! I've hung her tags from one of the square metal rings. They're just fine there. In fact, better than fine. Since she's a chow, she has long hair. The tags are noticeable because they hang longer than they would on a tighter fitting collar. If she ever gets out of the house unattended, someone will be able to see all her information. I like that. Speaking of her hair, the collar doesn't seem to rub or break her hair off. I don't know if this is due to the material the collar is made of, or the fact that it's an inch wide, but I'm grateful. She's only worn this particular collar for 3 months now, but it's held up well. We've been caught in a rainstorm, and it dried out overnight. I've hand washed it in the sink with Dawn dishwashing liquid, and it looks like new. And with the matching lead, she looks like a princess! When this collar wears out, I'll replace it with another one just like it. Five stars.
