I have several of the Blink XT2 cameras that are currently in hard plastic cases. I know that the hard plastic will eventually become brittle so I got these to replace them. The silicone material is thick and they look like they will do a good job of sealing the edges where the back comes off to replace the batteries. I thought that there would some more coverage in the back of the camera, but it is almost completely open except for the lip that covers the perimeter edge. Overall, these are nice inexpensive ($13.69 for four at the time of this review) covers for the older Blink cameras.

I just wanted some soft covers to go over my cameras mounted against my white eaves. These slip right on an off. I have others that are hard covers that screw together and are a pain. These are super simple to change the color so they blend in.

I should first point out that when you first open the box, you might believe you have been shortchanged. The 4 pack I ordered contained two vacuum-wrapped items, and at first it appeared to be only 1 per package. Upon opening, however, I found there were two per package, for the correct total of 4. The items look a bit scrunched up on arrival, but will mostly stretch to fit flat when installed. The "mostly" part is because I did notice a slight gap on front between the camera body and the cover. My concern is whether this would allow water infiltration (which would then be trapped inside the cover) or detritus (such as pollen, come spring). I plan to revisit this review after some time to report on that. The cover was easy enough to put on a dismounted camera, and I don't see much of an impediment to putting it on a camera while mounted, although I have yet to do that. Another long term concern I have is the short hood at the top. While this is a positive in that it can help shield the lens from raindrops in some situations, I've found the hood on some other brand cameras I have occasionally attracts spiders to string a web in front of the lens. Those appear as a bright glowing line when illuminated by IR when night vision is active. Perhaps silicone will prove to be a poor anchorage for those webs, unlike the metal body of my other cameras. I had originally debated getting white silicone covers instead (to reduce heat gain during the summer), but given that my cameras have experience no issues thus far during some 100+ days, I decided to stick with black as it blends in better with my installations and won't show dirt or other grunge as easily. My main purpose for obtaining these was to cover the seam between the back cover and the body of the camera, as additional protection in the event I ever improperly sealed the back or damaged the rubber seal there. These do that very well, wrapping a lip around the back of the camera, and appear to hug the edges of the camera back tightly.

I put these on my blink cameras. They were easy to put on and fit nice and snug. They also do not get in the way of changing batteries. I got the white ones which are a nice flat white color as expected. I had previously put on some covers that I printed on my 3D printer which did a good job but were starting to show some weathering after a couple of years and although they went on easily two years ago they were not so easy to take off being made of hard plastic. I expect these cover to hold up better and come off easy since they are flexible.
