This retractable has been a game changer. Recently I adopted a younger dog who like to hunt. I realized I couldnt take her to most dog parks as she would escape. So I got this. It is only 10 feet but gives her enough autonomy to move about and hunt, while my older dog does his thing. I have no issues, it works as it should. I just got the basic, but I would recommend getting the whole package. I say this only because if you are not paying attention fully n puppy sees something she wants, you may not have a good grasp on the handle and it can come out of your hands easily. The bags n light r a nice feature, but the strap is a fabulous safety tool.

Very cute and sturdy for my chihuahua. The handle isn't bulky and the lock feature is great for her tugs and pulls.

This is a nice leash and seems well-made. The handle fits my hands very well which gives you a confident feeling that, if the dog takes off, you will be able to hold on to the handle. Some of the newer leashes have incredibly small handles that can only be held by a few fingers. The only negative I have is that this is only 10 feet, which is a little short for my taste. This one is white with nice, creamy pink accents.

This retractable leash works very well at keeping the tension as it does not jump by allowing too much slack like my older cable leash. The ribbon smoothly feeds and retracts keeping better tension with a tell tale vibration as to your pets actions if they are not immediately in front of you. Since it is a ribbon instead of a round cable it is heavier and larger as an equal length cable leash. Also there's more tension when it's being pulled out the side because the ribbon must fold slightly creating more friction when feeding out. The handle is larger that cable 10ft models, so if you have big hands like me it has slightly more room for your fingers, but only comfortable putting three fingers in the handle with the thumb on top and the pinky hanging out. The locking mechanism is superior and much easier to use as the squeeze lock is larger and the center slide lock is the same as most. Time will tell how the ribbon holds up but I like it so far and my dog doesn't seem to notice the difference.
