My husband jacked up my pinking shears a few years ago cutting a soup can for some repair. I never replaced them. But lately, I have struggled with some of my sewing and quilting projects, wishing I had pinking sheers. Also, when I have a sewing project where the edge needs to be pinked so it doesn't fray, I have had to use my serger instead. It worked but boy, did it make a mess at times due to the nature of the fabric. So, when I got the chance to review these pinking shears, I was thrilled. The day they arrived, I was ready. I had a skirt I wanted to make using a delicate knit blend. The kind that puckers when you try to serge it or rolls when you try to hem it off. The pinking sheers were very sharp and cut very well. It was beautiful, lol. The edges of the skirt, outside the seam, were cleanly pinked and not a snag or snare or pucker in sight. The scissors are heavy duty, cut very well, and you can hear the sharp blades as they come together ... that sound of sharp blades at work, lol. They are comfortable to hold and don't cause thumb pain at the base of your outer thumb after cutting a few yards with them. Love them. So well made.

Sturdy. Easy to use and cuts paper like butter. I use this scissor for paper crafting and card making. They are not heavy. Much cheaper than buying them at retailer chains.

I tried a pair of pinking shears from a different company, and they didn't work very well, so I needed another pair. These shears are very heavy duty and made of high-quality materials. The cutting edge is super sharp down the entire blade, so it cuts fabric very well. The only problem I had was the last 1/2" of the blade caught the fabric and didn't cut. That's just a minor issue for me, not a deal breaker. I was able to easily cut through two layers of heavy cotton. A single layer also cuts well. The handles are comfortable to hold and use for a prolonged period of time. The handles are offset for easier flat cutting without lifting your fabric. This is a great pair of pinking shears at a great price. Some reviews stayed that these work well for paper as well as fabric. Don't use your sewing scissors to cut paper. Paper will dull your scissors very quickly; use separate, dedicated scissors for fabrics and paper.
