They work as advertised. Glad I ordered them.

I decided to try out these pens as they had a nice range of tips and suitable for inking some artwork I was doing. The pens them selves are paint pens (as stated in the item description) and those are not normally the kind of pens I like to work with. I generally use Sharpies. I find paint pens to be more of a hassle with having to jump start the ink flow and trying to make sure it doesn't get too heavy or light as you work. Besides getting them started, they seem to work just fine and remain constant at delivering ink without issue. The ink itself is what would be expected, a nice opaque black ink. It doesn't, however, dry as fast as a Sharpie and some care needs to be taken to not smear the ink. That would be the one caveat that keeps these pens for being exactly what I need. But, they are paint pens after all.

I used a sharpie to label some plants for outside and after a few weeks, the ink started to fade badly. I was offered these for review and I used them on the same plastic labels to stick in the soil and the paint print is lasting better in the sun and rain. I'm hoping the print will last the entire season without having to update the markers. The markers are easy to use. They have a small ball in them to shake the paint up in the canister part of the markers. Once the paint is flowing, I try to write fairly quickly and it is helpful to have a scrap piece of plastic or something to take off the excess paint when I first start writing. I immediately cap the pens whenever I am not actively writing to help prevent them from drying out any. I haven't had any issues besides a glob of ink on the tip of the nib sometimes. The pens aren't super big but they write quite a few tags each and this set has plenty of extras. These could be used to label scions also. I ordered some white paint pens also. Those are much preferred over this black paint. The black paint can be hard to see on wet and dark bark.

My son used these to outline his drawing on canvas. Good ink flow, dark black and 3 different size points.

The pen tips are true smooth flowing while drawing. I tried to use the 1mm one to draw on the wood slice, and the result turned out beautiful. It was a bit hard to draw on the bumpy wood slice. But smooth on the paper. Plus, the packing is extremely well. Each pen was wrapped individually to maximize protection of the pens. Very satisfied with the pens.
