These are cheap and they work. However, they are not easy to work with. Had I not needed these in such a short timeframe, I would have gladly paid more for a higher quality product, there just weren't any other options that would have arrived in time. I did not have any issues with the center conductor insulator melting as others did, but I did have issues with getting the solder to adhere to the reducer and shield of the connector. It stuck fine to my wire shield, but it would not stay attached to the connector itself. Either it's a material issue or a finishing issue. You have to apply excessive amounts of heat for extended period of time to get solder to adhere to the connector which is likely what is resulting in a lot of issues with people melting the insulator material. WILL NOT BUY THESE AGAIN!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!. There are much better options out there and I will stick to other sources like DX Engineering, HRO and Gigaparts for my amateur radio needs.

Good parts

This set of six for this price is a true value. It is such that I know doubt will be ordering a second set as I am in the process of designing matching networks for a two meter array. I particularly like the fact each comes with a reducer for RG 58 coax. Some of my phasing in a short run will use that smaller size of 52 Ohm coax. The rest of the PL 59 male plugs will be applied to RG 8 coaxial feed line. Perfect fit without any adapter. All good quality merchandise. Great price, great satisfaction. You could not ask for anything better for the money. These will handle the power, the heat, and maintain the critical 50 Ohm input to the antenna. Five BIG Stars for a great value, and a very fine product...a builders friend.
