Plackers really reduced the quality of these flossers compared to when they were pink and harder plastic. The line is so lax and flimsy that it has broken midway through flossing. Even when it doesn't break, it gets so lax that I have to jam the parts where it connects into my jawline to get fully between my teeth. The fold out "pick" is a joke - it doesn't get between the top of the tooth and the gumline at all, it's at least double the size as the former version of the plackers picks, and with any force behind it it just bends right out of the way. The fold-out design also reduces the integrity of the flosser, making it harder to hold for actual flossing and too flexible to really floss well. Looks like I'm going to be looking for a new brand entirely for flossers.

We have been using this same style for 4+ years. This time around had to purchase some more and got this "new look bag". DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The floss part stretches out between each tooth and half way through flossing it just breaks! We have to use 2 sometimes even 3 sticks at once brushing. Its like the whole floss part disintegrates once saliva makes contact with it. Also on the edges there is that extra floss part sticking out and its hard and scratches the inside of your mouth. Its also MUCH harder to get between the back teeth, where this was never a problem. Sucks because we like how this is the flat type and not a tiny thin string floss. Guess I gotta find a new brand or type to use.

I loved the Plackers Gentleslide and have been using them for years. When these new Gentle Line products became available, I was delighted to give it a try. THEY ARE AWFUL. It stretched out at first attempt to get it between my teeth. It's very hard to get them in between tight teeth, which was never a problem with the old Genleslide version. I had to go through 6-7 picks to get my mouth flossed. These products should have never hit the market. Makes you wonder if Plackers has done any quality control or test. WHAT A SHAME. PS If you read the 5 star reviews, many of them are from "Vine Customer Review of Free Product", not from customers who truly purchased the product.

We've used the purple handled Gentleslide flossers for years - a fabulous product. But they seem to no longer be available, with the Gentle Line (white) offered as the current replacement option on the same ZeeBooth sales page. So, ordered them when it was time to restock. Aside from the physical form factor differences in where the pick is, the Gentle Line flossers appear to be the same wide tape. However they immediately stretch after the first tooth or two, and become flimsy and not able to get between the rest of the teeth as well. This is very disappointing - the purple handled flossers were perfect and reliable! Will be shopping for alternatives.

I love these flossers as they are easier to get between my tightly packed teeth. They dont snap onto my gums like other flossers do. Thats painful, but these are much more gentle. Plus, the way the tape is taller (?) it makes for more surface area to slide down the surface of the side of my teeth to effectively get any food particles to come off. (Sorry, Im not a dentist or dental assistant, so I dont know the terms for the tooth surface thats in-between the teeth.) Anyway, I will be buying this brand from now on.
