Clearly whats in the box is NOT whats advertised on the box. The box says no paint. no glue. which would probably make a better product. But these do not work. The felt pieces need to be glued (yes, its provided) and dont really hold at all. Rather than a craft for kids, its a nice art project for an adult.

My three year old loves doing crafts and this is a great little kit to keep her entertained now that school is out. She did need a little help gluing the pieces on but overall she enjoyed making all the little pom pom animals.

Bought this kit to help entertain a five year old. She is advanced for her age, and was able to do everything. She had a good time. The items in the kit were nice not cheap junk. Wish the pompoms were a little larger.

This is a nice craft set for making little animal faces. It is all inclusive - has everything you need to make the faces. There are large wool pompoms (about 2.5 - 3 inches), felt pieces with pre cut lines for eyes, nose etc, googly eyes and glue. It even has a little wool piece to make the frog's smile. However, sticking anything to the pompom was a pain. I got this to play with my 2.5yo who loves (and is very good at) sticking pieces when you apply glue. Unfortunately the wool on the pompoms is not close cut, so it has wool yarn about half centimeter all over which makes for extremely uneven sticking surface. She was able to stick the eye rounds and nose but I had to hold it down, and it didn't stick well even after drying. I tried again with school glue and it was still the same. The frogs smile was near impossible to glue on and we had to pile glue on it, and then had to let it dry for hours. Eventually everything dried and it took her 2min of playing with it before she simply tugged at the eyes and ears and everything came right off! So bottom line is - it is not age appropriate (marked 3+ and I don't agree with that). It is okay as a craft in a pre-school or K setting where there is teacher's help and they do end up looking cute. And may be for older kids who have the patience to glue this stuff. But that's about it. It is a great concept, I hope they change the pompom material or make it more even like the mini pompoms.
