Not suitable for riding in the rain.

Works fine for standing in the rain, but... If you wear this while cycling, riding a motorcycle, or a quad, the jacket bunches up because you're sitting. Water pools up in the folds and leaks through the zipper leaving you with a very wet stomach. Do it for long enough, and the water flow is high enough that it'll trickle to your downstairs, pool up in your rain britches, and leave you looking like you've pissed out your arse. It's a fine raincoat for any activity that'll keep the material 100% perpendicular to the ground. If you plan on sitting in the rain, buy something else.

Very Well Made

I haven't worn this in the rain yet, so I'll have to reserve judgement on that. But I'm very pleased with the material and construction. The material is lightweight but by no means flimsy. It's not tissue thin and it won't tear under normal use. The zipper zips easily and the two outside pockets are deep and well protected from moisture. The seams are fully taped and done so well that you have to scrutinize the jacket to see them at all. The cuffs are tight elastic and no water will get in there. The vents under the arms are small but probably adequate and the back vent is big and will probably let any moisture escape. I haven't tried the hood. This jacket is designed big so you can wear a sweatshirt or sweater under it. There is more room in the stomach and chest than you will need. I bought this to have handy on a trip I'm going to take to Alaska next week, and I wanted something that wouldn't take up much room in my suitcase. I chose the bright orange color so my wife could locate me if we got separated. I would recommend this to anyone. It's a good buy.

I'm an Orioles baseball fan. We have a section at the ball field called bird bath where you get soaked with every home run. I bought this for that reason and it was perfect. Not heavy, perfect fit and kept me dry!!! Im very small 5ft 125lbs and got a medium and it fit me perfect. Definitely a great buy and I'll get lots of use out of it.
