First of all, the off-gassing stinks but that goes away. Bigger issue is they aren't what you would expect from a brace. They're more of a compression wrap. They work well enough at that, but if you are looking for a brace with real support, look elsewhere.

I lift weights and began experiencing wrist pain. My doctor suggested this product, and it turned out to be a great recommendation. The wrist supports fit perfectly thanks to the adjustable velcro tabs, allowing me to find a comfortable fit. They are flexible and lightweight, which is excellent as I had never used this type of support before. Surprisingly, I didn't need much time to get used to them. Despite being inexpensive, they have proven to be effective. Once adjusted, they stay in place, and my wrists no longer hurt, even as I gradually increase the weights I lift 2-3 times a week.

You get two wrist braces, and both can be used on either hand. The braces look well stitched and the material feels light and comfortable, yet durable. I found the hole for the thumb to be too small, and the brace made the thumb area uncomfortable in general. But if you don't need to restrict thumb movement you can just keep this part of the brace off your thumb and it will still provide good compression around the wrist. The compression around your wrist is easily adjustable by how much you pull the brace tight.

My husband suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome, so I was interested in having him try these out as I was offered them to review. When I opened the package, I was surprised to see that they looked like straps. They did not really come with detailed instructions on how to wear them. I referred back to the picture on the product page, and I was able to figure out how to wrap these correctly. These are not heavy duty for those who need full support. They are basically Velcro straps, that you can wrap a little tighter for support if necessary. My husband has been using them and does feel like they help a bit during the day as he is working in our yard. But he still wears his brace he got from the doctor for overnight.

I have a combination of carpal tunnel syndrome and osteoarthritis in my fingers, hands, and wrists. I don't want surgery, I can't take NSAID's for medical reasons, and I don't want either of these chronic conditions to slow me down in terms of my computer keyboarding, exercising, and arts and crafts activities. I wear very supportive and cushiony night braces for carpal tunnel syndrome, which are comfortable to wear overnight, and successfully prevent me from waking up with numb hands. However, they are just too bulky to wear during the daytime. They are easily adjustable with their hook and look closure and they allow me to get a tight but comfortable fit in just a few seconds. I also like that they came in a set of 2, and I think they are very reasonably priced for a pair. I think that most of us with wrist problems have them in both hands. And even if you don't, it's always nice to have an extra brace so when you've handwashed one and are waiting it for air dry, you have another one to use in the meantime. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, these braces provide me with the perfect balance between being supportive and stabilizing while remaining flexible enough for me to keyboard without slowing me down. Meanwhile, my husband has developed a condition in one of his wrists which causes him pain while gardening and working out. He recently saw an orthopedic surgeon and sadly learned that the only way to cure his condition is by having a very complicated surgical procedure performed with a long recovery time. His orthopedic doctor actually recommended that he not have this surgery done unless the pain becomes totally unbearable. Alternatively, she suggested that he wear a wrist brace when needed. He ended up "borrowing" one of mine and likes it so much that I doubt he will ever return it! So it's time for me to order another set of these wonderful braces. (P.S. He has much larger hands and wrists than mine, and he is also able to get a perfect fit with the brace.)
