I usually just buy my clippers at Petco or even Target and just grab whatever they have. Didn't think there was that much of a difference from one to the next until I recently replaced 10 year old pair with a Safari brand that broke apart completely with one use on my German Shepherd. After getting these Thunderpaws clippers I realize there is most definitely a difference. From the moment I took these out of the package I noticed this, because even the handle feels different from most of the other ones I've tried over the years. It has a good weight to it, not too heavy or too light. It actually feels good in your hand both in shape and weight. It works well, clipping through my German Shepherd's thick nails with ease, but it also doesn't feel like some big dog clippers where it feels like it might take half the dog's nail off if you're not overly cautious. I have not tried them with my smaller dogs yet, but I am confident it will work well for them also.

I have a medium sized dog with what are a larger dogs nails in length and diameter. That being said I am sick of going to the vet to only see his front nails chewed up and not cut back reasonably. If youre contemplating it, GET a pair now. We have used a battery operated nail grinder, for years before this amazing product. 4 batteries required to operate and with how long it would take the whole thing would die after 2.5 times of doing his nails. My sweet boy hated how loud it was, and the feeling of it too. With these clippers, he falls asleep while I do his nails. That's a miracle. his nails have never been so prestige, and no more tapping on the floor when he walks. Easy to use, neat little nail file included. The grip is good, and I have little hands. Easy to see where you're cutting. I go a little at a time, I haven't nicked him yet, *knock on wood* I'll keep repurchase this, I'm not sure how long they stay sharp for but they're inexpensive enough you could buy a new set once they begin dulling. When you cut through the nail, the clippers do hit together like scissors would, & make a little noise. But it didn't scare my boy like I thought it might. Really good product. Highly recommend
