our go to flashlight takes two Ds. we dont really use it everyday but the regular batts drain over time. these rechargeable batteries are perfect for our flashlight application. never have to worry about not having D batts on hand. i like that these have built in charging ports and came with usbc cable that attaches both batts to charge them. although it sis not come with the power plug; its no big deal because we have quite few from other devices. this help curve some expenses on those regular batts.

I've used the standard rechargable batteries in the past but these USB rechargeables seemed very convenient. After buying a pair off of Temu, that failed after the first recharge, I was hoping that these from ZeeBooth would be better quality. Unfortunately, just like the pair from Temu, one of the batteries must have shorted out after the first recharge. It wouldn't recharge and actually caused another appliance, that was also plugged into an adjoining USB port, to short out and stop working completely. So I guess I'll have to go back to the standard rechargables.

I love the fact that they recharge using a power cord and not a battery charging unit. Sadly, one of the batteries is either not fully charging or it just discharges much faster than the other battery. I have to keep attempting to recharge it.

These perform similarly to other USB-rechargeable 1.5v regulated cells. They produce 1.5v when not loaded, with spikes of a few tens of millivolts at around 10Hz as the on-board regulator keeps the output charged. Under a 10-ohm load (150mA), that drops to a sawtooth of about 2MHz. Under a 0.5-ohm load (3A), the output voltage drops slightly (although that may be due to contact resistance in my test setup), but the battery itself stays quite cool. When charging, on the other hand, the cap gets quite toasty; I measured it at over 130 degrees F. While charging, a rather faint green light blinks under the white top surface (see photo). When fully charged, the green light glows steadily, and the battery cap quickly cools back down to normal. As long as you don't try to charge these while they're in an enclosure, I don't think the heat will be an issue; it shouldn't be too much for the charging circuit, and the rest of the battery never gets very warm. Recommended.

I've been using these rechargeable D batteries and they're a great alternative to regular alkaline batteries. They're true to size and fit well in my devices. They're also really lightweight, which is a plus. The best part is how easy they are to charge. You just use a USB-C cable, and they charge pretty quickly. The only downside is that the charging cable is a bit short, but that's a minor issue. I also appreciate the LED indicator that lets you know when they're charging and when they're fully charged, even though it's a bit hard to see in bright light. They hold a charge well and last a good while. They've been working great for me. Overall, I'm happy with these batteries. They're easy to use, eco-friendly since they're rechargeable, and save me from buying and disposing of single-use batteries. If they last as long as they claim, they'll be worth the investment.
