Its works for me

I do like it and I use it all the time, but in comparison to a circular rope style slip collar this one may annoy you a bit because it doesnt loosen as quick as one might want. That said though Ive never had an issue with it choking my dog unless hes pulling and choking himself. And once he stops having a tizzy when he sees another dog I am able to giggle the leash and slip collar to loosen a bit so its not so tight when I and only using the slip by itself. However my intended purpose for buying a slip collar was to use as extra protection for his prong which has come in handy as the flat d ring on the prong has come off the leash, its definitely come in handy as an added layer of protection.

Size matters

We used this style to train our dog. We are going on a road trip and wanted the added reminder for our boy while in new places. This arrived HUGE. Way too big. Seems decent quality, and the style is great for training, but this one won't be used, need to return, it is that big. Make sure you read full size description. My gsp 55lbs normally wears an 18, so we went with the larger one -smaller only goes to 15 inches. But bigger is way too big.

It works well

My pup has long fur and I was afraid it would get pulled by the chain ones so I tried this kind for the first time. He has trouble with other dogs and there are plenty of dogs around us. With this collar I have been able to correct this behavior with out him harming him in any way. He is not afraid of the collar either putting his head through it when I hold it out. I am impressed with it and will buy it again if I get another dog.

We have a Pibble and her neck is bigger than her head. Regular collars dont work but this is a soft choker that tightens when she pulls without being hard or heavy like a traditional chain. Sturdy material similar to what youd find in a ratchet strap or tie down. Id buy it again in a heartbeat.

Great collar for my very fluffy dog

A+++ for us! I have a very fluffy American Eskimo dog, and it has always been a struggle to find the little 'D' ring when taking her outside with her traditional old style collar; and if I actually removed her collar it was even more of a struggle to get it back on through all that fur. I can now take this off, slide it over her little triangle head (lol) and easily locate the longer ring in order to take her out for a quick potty. I wish I had seen this years ago!
