A disclaimer - my retainers were already pretty clean prior to me testing this product, so I can't speak to how well these tablets may help to remove stains or buildup. That aside, they did dissolve well in water and left zero taste on my retainers - wearing them after rinsing I couldn't tell anything was different. That's a plus for sure. While soaking, the tablets let off a pleasant enough mint smell.

Compared to other brands, these Retainer cleaning tabs work great. They clean, kill bacteria, and removes odors easily. For maximum effectiveness, just leave whatever you're using them for in the solution all night. They also last a very long time if using just one per day. For the quality and effectiveness, I'd recommend them.

I get my retainer cleaned at my dentist's office when I go to get my teeth cleaned. In between visits, I use cleaning tables like Lifebox Retainer Cleaner Tablets. My appliance is an old style that needs to be soaked in cool water. You're supposed to use warm water with these tablets, but I got decent results with cool. They come out of the bath clean, and there's a slight mint taste. This brand works like most similar products and does the job just as well.

Every morning, I soak my retainers in denture cleanser in an ultrasonic cleaning device and brush them afterward. There are no deposits or discoloration on them and they are over a year old. I was curious to see the results from a retainer cleanser and ordered the Lifebox Essentials brand. The tablet is the same size and thickness as my denture cleanser and the mint scent is pleasant. They dissolve well, lather and do a thorough job of cleaning. I did not notice a difference in brightness but my retainers are always clean, so I can't speak to stain removal or plaque removal in my case. In a brief comparison of ingredients between the denture cleansing tablets and the retainer cleansing tablets, the retainer tablets have more bleaching agents than the denture ones, so I would surmise that if stains are an issue, that would be a benefit. The retainer cleanser is more expensive, so I don't anticipate switching to it but it is an excellent product.

The cleaning tablets worked really well for my retainers. I often eat a lot during the day due to being a runner and when I have to constantly take my retainers on/off and mixing it with my grimy food stained teeth, I needed a way to make sure my retainers were kept clean at the end of the day. These tablets smell fresh when dissolved into water and after soaking in my retainers in it and shaking it around in my retainer case, it looks and smells so much cleaner the next morning. They all come individually sleeved and since they're so small, they were perfect for taking with me on the go incase if I ever needed to clean my retainers when not at home. Overall, they're great and do the job well.
