These cleaning packets work quite well for dental appliances - after using them you can definitely tell your retainer/dentures/etc are cleaner. There's a smell to them too, so I like to rinse them off in water again. These are easy to use as well - simply put half a packet into a 1/4 cup of water and stick your appliance in there for 5 minutes or so. Then take them off (and do another rinse). Simple to use and they do make your appliances seem quite a bit fresher. The only downside is that they are pretty pricey at around 37 cents per use.

I didn't notice my retainers being cleaner after using them, but I did notice the powder had a nice smell. I don't smell my retainers, but I am going to guess that it did remove the smell of the retainers since I decided to smell the retainers after cleaning them with the solution. After cleaning them, I decided to just brush them with my toothbrush, just in case. It has 50 little packets inside the box with powder solution in the packets.

I followed the directions and after the recommended 3-5 minutes, my retainer was very clean. I like these cleaning salts as compared to using denture cleaning tablets. These cleaning salts worked quickly, there was no gritty residue and there is no disgusting mint flavored residue. Next, I will use these cleaning salts with my sonic cleaner. There are 50 packets but it says up to 100 uses. The directions say to use the entire packet for cleaning, so Im not sure how you get 100 uses out of 50 packets unless you are supposed to use only half the packet. I recommend these cleaning salts. I did take one star away because I do feel the cost of this cleaner.
