I needed a new pocket duster for work, bought this one based on no preference, thumb screw stripped day 1, still works fine I just put a bigger screw in place of the original.

Use for my job! Love that it retracts . It works great for dusting sunglasses

I ordered this Retractable Feather Duster-Genuine Ostrich Feathers,Anti-Static,Reusable Eco-Friendly Handheld Cleaning because I liked the idea of an ostrich feather duster. I dont know, it sounded sort of charmingly old fashioned. I have kind of mixed feelings about this product. It is much smaller than I expected. The sales page said these were 15 long when fully extended. The plastic handle of mine is slightly under 9. Fully extended, this is about 12 1/2. The ostrich feathers are kind of small. That being said, they actually do pick up dust quite well. I was pleasantly surprised how well the few feathers in this duster worked. They really got the dust, and I thought it was kind of fun to use feathers instead of the mundane Swiffer. However, Im not sure how sturdy this is, or how long it will last. The mechanism that extends and retracts the feathers works well, but I dont think the feathers will last super long being pulled in and out of the tube that is the handle of the duster. I know other viewers complained about the smell of the duster. I have a very sensitive nose (my family calls me the bionic nose, I smell things they cant) and I didnt pick up a smell. Finally, after actually sticking my nose all the way down into the feathers, there was a very faint mothball scent. Nothing overwhelming. So, I wasnt sure how to rate this. It was smaller than I thought. The feathers really do pick up dust easily, and I liked using the duster. But Im concerned about its longevity. I will say, the feathers are excellent for dusting fragile objects, like crystal stemware. The lightweight feathers soft of mold themselves into the angles and crannies of small objects when dusting. In the end, I gave it four stars. The duster definitely works. The feathers are a fun way to dust, and Id say they pick up dust as well as my Swiffer. But I wish it were larger, had more feathers, and didnt feel quite as flimsy. If this had been a bit larger with more feathers, and didnt feel a bit flimsy, it would have been an easy five stars for me. I like a feather duster at an affordable price. This one is good, but not wow, incredibly good.
