This package has a great set of cutting tools with a lot of extra blades. This is good for many types of crafts. The ruler and cutting board are really nice and will help with different projects too.

Decent set after fixing the utility knife.

This is a pretty good set with the exception of the utility knife. The opening in the knife is poorly formed and makes it nearly impossible to control as the blade is allowed to twist in the housing. I broke the tip of the knife off immediately when I tried to use it because of this lack of control. I managed to fix it by extending the blade well past the end of the housing and putting it in a vice and squeezing the housing around the blade. Now it actually works as intended, and after breaking off the section with the broken tip the control was drastically improved. It's an easy fix, but it shouldn't need to be fixed. On the positive side, the utility knife locks the blade in place and has a removable clip on the end that has a notch cut in it. This is a clever feature that allows you to use the clip to break off sections of the blade as they get dull, revealing a new sharp edge. As for the rest of the set, I'm pretty happy with it. The cutting mat has different guide marks on each side, but they are all in metric which is not so convenient, but the steel ruler is marked metric on one side and with inches on the other, so that's nice. The "HIGH QUA LITY" rotary cutter does work nicely, you don't need much pressure to cut with it, and it's nice that the wheel retracts when not in use as the cutting wheel is very sharp. There are two styles of blades for the craft knife and the blades are easy to change. I also like that the replacement blades are all in their own separate storage containers. The cutting mat is self-healing, and it does work pretty well, especially with the rotary cutter. Cuts I made with the rotary cutter are indetectable on the surface of the mat, and the cuts made with the other knives are barely noticeable if you are looking for them, and I think those would be less if I fixed the utility knife before trying it. Overall, it's a decent set for the price, but seriously try to fix the utility knife if you are going to try to use it, the way it comes is inadequate. I used a vice to fix it, but the metal is easy to form, so you could probably just squish it in a C clamp, or even pliers, it just can't have an opening that huge compared to the blade.
