A decent flavor but appears somewhat clunky. A little bit more on the mild side

Not only does this lemon pepper parmesan seasoning smell great, but it also tastes absolutely fantastic. This is a decent sized bottle (about the same size as any jarred parmesan) with a lid thats easy to shake product out. It has a classic cheesy parmesan base, with a kick of lemon and pepper that complements each other perfectly. It has a pretty versatile flavor profile, but I could see this being mostly used for summer dishes. This was unexpectedly tasty sprinkled on top of normal spaghetti, but it meshes more with a white sauce base and chicken. This is definitely a pricier powdered parmesan, but it tastes high quality and fresh!

What I liked: This "Shawhan Farms Gourmet Parmesan Inspirations Lemon Pepper Seasoning Topper" is a nice addition to your kitchen if you like parmesan! We love parm and this definitely offers more of a parm flavor than lemon or pepper. Don't get me wrong, there is some lemony zest to it, but it's not a lemon-pepper blend like I might have expected. What I did not like: The fact that the parm flavor is so dominant is a bit of a bummer (and we love parm), was just hoping the other flavors would present a bit more. Overall: I give this 4 stars - the flavor is a tad more parm than anything else, but that said it is still fun to use on many things!

We had previously tried a truffle parmesan by Shawhan Farms which we enjoyed immensely, so we thought we'd give a more traditional flavoring a try and so we went with lemon pepper since we had a few fish entrees planned for friends visiting from town. We loved. They did too. Since using it with those entrees, we've also tried it as a topper on a red, orange, and yellow pepper pizza and it was a great complementary flavor. It also worked well on a few salads with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing as well as a caesar salad. This stuff is quite tasty and quite versatile. Highly recommended. That's 2/2 for great parmesans by Shawhan Farms.

While most alternatives offer only a lemon pepper blend, they tend to be much cheaper. Since this is a relatively large amount to buy, you'd expect cheaper prices per ounce due to buying in bulk. However, most of the alternatives that are smaller have a cheaper price per ounce. Based on price, I recommend exploring alternatives. Overall, I really like this seasoning blend, but I understand the frustration due to the lack of pepper taste in it. Additionally, it's not unique enough to justify the high price.
