I like that Shinbi Beauty Japanese Rice Water Toner comes in a brown bottle, which protects it from sunlight damage. The toner itself looks like water and has no scent or astringent quality. While I don't feel anything when applying it, it does seem to be moisturizing. It's recommended to follow with serum and moisturizer, and it works well as a middle layer for these products. However, I haven't noticed any specific benefits from the rice water toner alone. Overall, it's an okay product for layering in your skincare routine.

My skin is well hydrated and has no open cuts. I don't understand why it stings but it is a uniform sharp, stinging sensation across my face where the toner has been applied.

Ive tried other similar products which are usually cream or gel based, and while they have been effective, they tend to leave some residue or appear oily. This product applied very easily and did not leave any type of residue or stickiness. It felt soothing, and there was no irritation. There is no strong scent to speak of. After a couple of days, I did feel that my skin appeared to have better complexion and felt softer. Even though it is not a cream or gel, I felt that a little bit went along way, and that the amount for the price is actually very reasonable. Im not familiar with most of the ingredients in this product, the description seem to be very safe as they seem to be more natural products as opposed to chemicals that Im not familiar with.
