We demos this game at a convention recently and had to order this as soon as we got home. Its always hard to find a good 2 player game and one that can travel with ease. My husband loves all the tiny games for that reason. I love a good card placement game. The play was fast and you never make the same land twice and thats a win in my book.

This is a neat little puzzle - draft a few cards and try to sequence them in a row to maximize multiple scoring criteria. I first tried this a few times according to the solo rules and was having a rough time, but finally started winning a few games and getting a better feel for which scoring goals to prioritize. I can't see playing the solo game too often, as it just starts to feel the same after a few matches. I tried this 2 player with my wife and she just wasn't a fan. I think there's bit too many semi-conflicting and overlapping scoring criteria going on at once. I don't like the feeling when in order to capitalize on one scoring criteria I need to ruin another one. Increase the size of a part, but ruin the flow. Match the flow, but fail to pair the symbol. I shouldn't necessarily be able to get perfect scoring for everything, but feeling like almost every card is both a plus and a minus isn't as rewarding. I also like the theme and art, but some of the graphic design makes it tricky for new players. There's a lot of flavor art that mixes in with the important scoring elements, so you really need to learn what to look for and expect new players to have a few games where they totally miss certain things. Overall, it's neat and I have no problem suggesting someone try it if the theme or mechanism really appeals to them, and I also love how quick it is, but it just wasn't a stellar fit for us.

I LOVE Defrag. I wont lie and say there isnt a learning curve, but once you get a hang of it this puzzle game is really fun and challenging. The fact that you can take and play it anywhere is just a really big bonus!

This game has been super fun and we have been playing it a lot when we are out at breweries and wineries. This is my favorite of the Tiny game series.

As a musical person, I find the idea of a game where you compose a song really intriguing. However, this game doesn't require any musical skill to play. Each card has a series of notes on it as well as different symbols and colors that are used to decide how to arrange your cards. The arranging and scoring of cards feels complicated at first, but after playing a couple rounds, my husband and I understood the game and scoring strategy pretty well. Each round starts by drawing a card and using the symbol on it to determine which "universal rule" is followed during that round, in addition to the normal rules. This helps keep the game feeling fresh and adds replayability. The number of cards in the game is pretty limited, so having changing rules helps make the game more interesting. Gameplay happens in two main sections where each player is dealt 4 cards. You keep one, then trade cards with the other players. You repeat that until only one card each remains and then each players' last card is discarded. You compose the "root" of your siren song with these 3 cards that you've chosen. The same thing happens again where each player is dealt 4 cards. Then you can add the 3 cards you've chosen to your composition on either side of the "root" without changing the order of your "root" cards. Finally, you take turns scoring your cards in the different categories. The player with the most points wins that round, and the first player to win two rounds wins the game. At the end of a round, you can use the companion app (purchased separately for $0.99) to scan your cards and hear the siren song you've composed during the game. It's a neat idea, although I think the wild cards used in the game never sound quite right in the compositions. Also, sometimes the cards do not scan in correctly, and you would need to manually add any cards that were missed before listening to the composition. Overall, I enjoyed this game and the Mythology/Sirens theme. My husband didn't like it as much and felt bored with it after a couple games. It's definitely more of a strategy game with musical elements than a music based game, which was disappointing for my husband.
