Skillmatics Card Game - Jungle Party -As a family we LOVE Skillmatics games. This game does not disappoint. Jungle Party is easy to learn and fun for all. My kids ages 8-16 have all enjoyed this at family game night. The cards are made of good sturdy material that will last over many years of game play. The colors on the cards is bright and bold with fun drawings on them.

This game provides a good opportunity for kids to learn a range of skills, from good sportsmanship to strategic planning, to practical math skills. Each player gets to do three actions per turn, so there is ample opportunity to talk about why one particular action would be better than another one. My 5-year-old granddaughter enjoyed this game with the support of being talked through the steps. The box is difficult to open, but the flip side of that is its unlikely to spill open accidentally. The materials are colorful and well-made. This game makes a lovely addition to our game collection!

This game is very visually appealing. The art on the cards are so cute and fun, making it way more engaging than a classic card game for kiddos. The instructions are pretty clear and straightforward - I found them easy to read through once and then prepare for play. Quality wise, I was a little unimpressed with the card deck. The cards are quite thin and came slightly bent before even taking them out of the box. I have some concerns about how long the deck will last because of this. The could be sleeved, but that seems like a lot for a game at this price point. If you're careful, it should be fine. I do think the age range is right, but I think if you have littles under 7, you could maybe support them in playing and still have fun. Ultimately, I would recommend this game.

Cute creative different game than the standard ones at the store. Kids like it. Adults dont mind playing and helping.

This is a great game for the whole family! The jungle theme is really fun with unique food, drink, decor and music cards to attract animal guests to your party. Some of the action cards also have fun animal facts on them. I especially love all the party animal illustrations! The cards are all sturdy and good quality. The smaller party cards are thankfully more flexible, making them easier to shuffle. Everything fits neatly in the box, which is a nice, somewhat compact size that wouldn't take up too much room in a bag or suitcase. The game states ages 7+, but with some help, my 5yo daughter really enjoyed the game as well. Unlike many other games, you can do up to three actions during your turn. This definitely makes the game more fun, because you can lay down a party card or two and still be able to trade them in for an animal guest in the same turn. The rules were mostly clear. The section at the end was repetitive but was put there to emphasize the most important rules. Also, the diagram did not show the discard pile, but typically we like ours by the draw pile anyway. The only part of the gameplay that was confusing was what to do with cards that you steal using an action card. Should they immediately be placed in front of you or into your hand? We decided that cards obtained using an action would be played immediately, and it works fine for the game.
