My dog loves this bowl. Its not to deep and he is eating slower. Would be nice if the bowl was heavier and better rubber stoppers.

Slowed my dogs eating way down

We have a Corgi and she thinks if her puppy chow is allowed to set for 5 seconds it will disappear, she eats so fast if comes back up, that's an awful sound when You're sitting down to eat, but the purchase of this Bowl Stops that. Priceless Investment, she has never ate her chow the second time.

This bowl is much more flimsy than I expected. And while it's functional as a slow feeder, if my puppy got ahold of it, she'd be able to chew it to pieces in minutes. If you need one that can go to battle with puppy teeth, this isn't it. If you've got a dog who will leave it alone - it's an excellent option.

I ordered the A4DOG Slow Feeder Dog Bowl in yellow for my dog Kevin, as he eats entirely too quickly and I'm always scared he's going to choke on his food... plus he breathes in too much air when eating at high speed, which causes him to fart a lot later in the day. This bowl definitely helps slow him down, and alleviates my concerns. This bowl came with one tiny piece of foam with a peel-off sticker that I guess is supposed to provide the anti-slip aspect? There were no directions, although intuitively it looked to me like it should be maybe stuck to the bottom of the bowl. How it wouldn't cause the bowl to wobble however, is beyond me. I didn't bother to apply it, and the bowl does slide around (and make fart noises) while Kevin is eating. I feed him on a rubber mat to minimize slippage and mess, and fortunately the bowl doesn't leave his mat as he chases it around while eating. Pros: maze design works to slow the dog down as it eats seems to be sturdy and high quality dishwasher safe great size for small or medium dogs Cons: not truly anti-slip difficult to hand wash if there is residue stuck in the crevices not for large dogs My dog is 21 lbs, and his breakfast fits perfectly in this bowl. Although the description claims this bowl is appropriate for all sizes of dog from small to large, I don't think the size is large enough for big dogs- it just won't fit enough food. Additionally, it is disappointing that the bottom of the bowl is just hard plastic and isn't at all anti-slip. I have another similar maze bowl that I prefer over this bowl, as the entire base of my other bowl has an anti-slip rubberized coating, and the gaps in the maze are slightly larger and easier to clean out. I think there is a bit of room for improvement here, however I also think that if you can snag this bowl at a reasonable price, it isn't bad, and it does the trick to slow down a fast eater.
