"Grandpaw" eats at the speed of light, so we bought a few slow-feeder bowls in an attempt to slow him down. I had high hopes for this one as it has more dividers than most bowls do. It might have shaved a few seconds off of his dining pleasure, but not as significant as I had hoped. Maybe we should have named him Hoover! I then gave it to my Italian Greyhound (also a fast eater) and it did work better to slow her down more than the slow-feeder bowl she was using. It's a high quality, durable bowl and I think it would work well for most dogs.

The media could not be loaded. We have a 1-year-old rescue who always eats far too quickly. She eats so fast, that she will sometimes make choking noises. Once she finishes, she goes after our other dog's bowl, which has led to fights. This bowl has slowed her down. She has to work a little harder, which gives our older dog more time to eat. We lost the rubber feet so I don't know how well it stays put. I included a picture with our phone to get a size comparison. The only problem we have is that plastic got chewed on when we left the bowl out, had it been harder material it may not have gotten damaged as bad.

I purchased this for my sons Pug (named Pig), who doesn't chew and acts like a starved alley dog. The item comes nicely packaged and the color is cute. Pig had a hard time at first because she was used to gobbling her food like a hungry hippo. She adjusted quickly though and now eats much slower and she no longer over eats. The material is good quality and I have put it through the dishwasher a few times without issues. It's not a heavy dish, it's made from very lightweight plastic, so I do not recommend it for larger breeds. My Golden Retriever can pick it up, food and all, so I use a heavyweight glass dish for her. This slow feed bowl is great for small breed, greedy eaters though!

This is a nice feeder. Good quality material. Easy to clean. Not sure if it works too well for multiple cats because of the size, but if you get another that defeats the purpose if youre putting out twice the amount of food. Box cutter is for scale.

I have a small dog who INHALES her food. Doesn't chew, simply swallows it whole. Regardless of what kind of bowls I've used, it's what she does. So thought I should look into a slow feeder to at least have her "hunt and search" for the pieces with her tongue and spend a little time so as not to gobble everything up all at once. (She can literally eat her food, which is 1/3 cup twice daily, in under 60 seconds). This comes nicely packaged in a nice box, and I do LOVE that the rubberized feet are NOT already attached to the bowl, as sometimes those fall off in boxes. Took the bowl out, washed (by hand), let it dry, and set her up for her evening meal. The video was TOO long to post, but I added the end pic with the on it. 5:16 minutes. I'LL TAKE THAT!!!! Anything that slows her down is a plus; and while she may "lick" up the kibble, it's still "slow-going". This bowl will hold up to 4 cups, but to keep it under the "numbs" I'd only recommend 2-3 cups. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!
