While I like this slow feeder for the use, my Airedale is able to pull it from the bottom of her stainless bowl, regardless of the suction cups being down. The dividers of this insert are quite tall, and if you have a smaller dog (ours is 55lbs), they will have trouble getting to the food remnants in the deeper sections. Overall it is helpful for slowing down her eating, but I have to find it after she finishes eating, as it is usually carried around the house.

I thought this was a bowl and did not realize that it is only an insert for an existing bowl (I overlooked that when reading the description). I also measured incorrectly so I ordered a medium instead of a large so the insert is little as opposed to the dog bowl but it turns out that even though I did not pay attention to anything in the description or how to measure for it, it has worked out great. It has stopped my girl from inhaling her food. It is a nice thick rubber easy to clean and the suction cups are excellent in a stainless steel bowl, no movement at all. Highly recommend

This is a marvelous way to get your dog to slow down their pace while eating. It also means that you do not have to purchase a whole different bowl. We use standing feeders that have specific bowls, so this is especially nice. This silicone insert is very nice because it is flexible. Rather than the average plastic slow feeder bowl, where utensils can scratch the sides, allowing bacterial to grow, this does not. It's fully washable, removable nature makes it especially wonderful and easy to use. The little suction cups on the bottom keep it securely in place for even the most eager of eaters. My Corgi can't get this off the bottom of his bowl no matter how he tries! He also has been unable to damage it with his velociraptor like teeth. Be careful to remove this from your dog's bowl for cleaning often as food can get trapped underneath between the silicone insert and the bowl itself. Regular washing of your pet's food and water bowls is recommended. I find the price reasonable on comparison to what is available at local pet stores and websites.

This insert suction great, is durable and thick material. Easy to clean and adorable. With the grooves it definitely slows down the eating but I have also noticed for in certain spots are almost too hard to get to. Great price, great quality, overall if you get it to fit the bowl right it should be just right!

This is quite an interesting one! I have several slow feeder inserts. I have a marble food bowl with soft hefty weight for my one dog that aggressively goes after every crumb, needing to keep the bowl from sliding everywhere with the weight of the stone, and I needed an insert for it. It got two -- this and another. This one slows her even more than the other, and she can spend a good half hour eating. That is an amazing change for this dog that will eat in one minute and then run to try to steal the other dog's food -- and she will, the other dog will step aside. So thus the slow feeder. This one is perfect, I love the unusual design. I wash them in the dishwasher after. (HINT: Do NOT let an insert sit in the bowl for days if there is moisture in the bowl, as it will go moldy on you!) The insert could probably be used two days without washing, perhaps more in winter in a cold location, but not longer before washing. There are two many tiny crevices for mold to grow. So as long as you don't mind ripping it out of its suction into the bowl and loading it into the dishwasher, I highly recommend this one. In fact, I recommend two or three so that you can rotate through the diryt to clean cycle and alwayis have a clean one.
