I bought this for my little orange poodle because she has a big husky brother who likes to play rough. When I put it on her, he stopped grabbing her by the neck. After a few weeks, I was able to take it off her and he leaves her neck alone. I keep it close by just in case I need it.
Love this collar for my boy. Very strong and durable. Great quality for the price. True to color and size. Would purchase again but I don't think I would need to it's very thick.
The media could not be loaded. After reading some reviews I was a little hesitant on ordering. This is because a lot of reviews stated it was too heavy on their dogs neck, or another one I read several times was that the color bleeds on the dogs coat. Well I will tell you from my experience for months now not once has my dog (LoLa) told me it was too heavy and too please take it off! Haha ~ Kidding (kinda) LoLa has not once shown any signs that her collar is bothering her whatsoever! As a matter of fact I think she feels a type of way when I put her collar on! Like she is a little bada%s! She feels tough and glamorous at the same time and holds her head up high! She seriously gets excited and clearly is not tired or having a hard time running around with her cool collar as you witness in my video! I will tell you I am one to remove her collar on a nightly basis so she does not sleep with this on. I would do this with any collar. I know I wouldnt want to sleep with a choker on at night so why would my dog want too. If its uncomfortable for me I feel it would also be uncomfortable for her. I opted for the white XS because LoLa weighs 4lbs 11oz and it fits perfectly when I use the 3rd hole from the end. Her neck measures 9 inches. The white really pops on her Chocolate colored coat. So as far as the bleeding of the color, ummmm NO this has NOT happened! As a matter of fact I am so confused as too how this would happen to any dog. I would never bath my dog with her collar on, I would never leave my dog outside in the pouring rain so she can get soaked, I would never let her swim with her collar on, so I guess I just dont understand how this would bleed on any dogs coat. Have we gotten caught in the rain and had to make a run for the car, absolutely! And have we both gotten wet from the rain, Yes! But still this white collar has NEVER turned her coat white! We reside in Florida where the weather is hot and humid and still have NOT experienced her coat turning white around her neck! I also did have to reach out to the seller regarding my order and I will tell you that this seller cares about his buyers! The seller responded exceptionally quick to my concern and had immediately resolved my issue! This also says a lot about this product! I strongly believe customer service is key to any shopping experience for their products! The quick response to resolve the issue goes to show they too also stand behind their product! I would too if this was my product because it is extremely well made and for the money you cannot beat this deal any where else!!! If I could get away with leaving my contact info on here I would to tell you please disregard negative reviews and purchase this if this is indeed what your looking for and if you do happen to encounter any of the issues I mentioned I would be more than happy to refund you myself!!! Because honestly as I mentioned in the beginning the negative reviews mentioning the weight and bleeding of color had almost stopped me AND I am so glad I went ahead with this purchase and so is LoLa!
I liked the collar so much I bought a second one as you can see from the pics. It is a bit heavy for a small dog (my dog is 6 pounds I got the XS) but it looks fantastic and it was useful to protect him from my other dogs rough play (the other one is 12 pounds). Sadly the collar started getting all chipped and ugly after only a few months. It is NOT made of leather, its more like cardboard as you can see from the pics after it starts falling apart. But, I am still impressed that after a year of daily use the spikes are all still there and the collar never actually failed. I really wish it was better quality because its so cute but for $ 8.50 I am buying it again in white this time
