I bought this foam puzzle for my classroom of 4 and 5 year olds and they love it. It is really cute and very durable.

We have several of these foam puzzles made by this company and love them. My toddlers have taken them apart and put them back together over and over and they hold up very well. I will continue to order them as new designs come out!

I tested this puzzle with my young niece and she had fun figuring it out, though I can see a finite number of times it would be put together before the novelty wears off. But that's the case with any toy for children. The puzzle contains 25 pieces, made of up dense foam which are 3/8" thick and generally 3"x5" in size, so they are easily picked up by tiny hands. The puzzle's nodules are similar in size and shape to each other so a child may be tempted to force them together since they look like they can fit in many different ways (apart from the picture they're trying to complete). Using the picture of the completed puzzle on the back of the box she was able to complete it in 10 minutes time, including her bouncing focus on other things and the need for a snack midway through. We broke it down and I challenged her to complete it within 5 min for a reward and she completed it again without losing focus. The finished puzzle is the shape of a placemat that is 13"x24". When she tires of the puzzle I may attach a clear plastic cover to the top and bottom of it to make it an actual fun placemat for her for use during meals at the table.
