fun project

This was a fun little project for my 6 year old. A little help was needed but not much.

Great for kids

Love this for my son. He had a great time doing it. Perfect for young kids

Fun! A departure from Lego but still stimulating

I got this for my 8-year-old daughter because she likes Legos but kind of is a bit tired of them. This seemed like something that's fresh and different, but still mentally stimulating. I also enjoy the fact that they have nice colors. She wasn't sure that she could build this on her own so we were working on it together. I got the impression that it was a little too mechanically minded for her. Lego was very much instruction-based. You just click things together. But this is a little bit more of a fiddly project where you have to hold things in position while you attach other things. I soon learned that it wasn't really right for her particular interests and skill set. So I ended up building the whole thing while she did something with me nearby. At times the instructions were a little bit hard to understand and the illustrations weren't clear on what exactly I was supposed to do but I did manage to get the build completed. I'm going to mention something here that is a fact, but I don't count it as a ding against the product. I'm mentioning it so you'll be aware. Quite a few of the parts had paint already chipped off a little bit. It wasn't unsightly and it didn't ruin the experience, but it's not a pristine A+ plus product. It is a little bit like somebody collected a bunch of odd parts from their bolt bucket and painted them before giving them over to be assembled. Again, this doesn't take away from the experience. It's just a fact. If you're expecting perfection, you won't find it here. That leads me to the actual experience with these things. It is very much as you would expect if you stop and think about it. This is a collection of odd parts made for building other things. The parts aren't manufactured specifically for this. At least not all of them. Maybe some are. Because of that things are a little wobbly or loose-fitting, or maybe don't work exactly perfectly. But that's okay. It's still fun.

My son loved this

Its a ton of little pieces so its for older kids. Even then you should still build this with your child. Its a great learning activity

Great Idea

Love the idea of teaching kids there are many uses for odd bits of leftover connective items. However my kits was missing 1/2 of its pieces. The kids did not arrive to try it until after 30 days. So I could not return it. Very dissappointed!
