Great project for kids learning how to assemble and build things. Teaching my son the basics of electricity and how circuits work (I'm an electrician by trade), and how everything works together was a great teaching moment. This little speaker gets loud too! For $15, you can't beat it.

Great Science kits for kids I got this for my 10-year-old grandson. He had a great time putting it together. The instructions were not totally clear (it talked about gluing parts, but then the package contained double-sided tape) but we figured it out. There isn't a lot to this in terms of STEM learning, but he still liked working on it. It had no issues connecting with Bluetooth. He told me that my phone/iPad would be able to control it--and sure enough, he was correct. There is an on/off switch, but I am guessing it will be left on a few times as there isn't an indicator light. It was fun for him to build and now use. We're loving it.

If I could change anything, I would add a battery cover and put a light in it that indicates it is turned on. The batteries still out the back, uncovered, and it isn't a good match with the nice design on the case. I am loving projects that get kids into STEM activities. This piqued the kiddo's curiosity, and they enjoyed building and gaining understanding. This is not meant to compete with high-end speaker systems which is good, because it doesn't. The kit is meant to get the kids thinking, and building, which is good because it does.

I got this Bluetooth speaker kit for my eight year old daughter. This was a fantastic introduction project! This definitely helped build her confidence with easy to read and follow instructions. She was able to put this together 100% by herself and really felt great about herself when completed. It worked perfectly, she was able to pop some batteries in and link the Bluetooth to her phone and started listening to her music. Such a huge payoff for her and now she wants more projects to do herself. I absolutely loved that it was a kit with everything she needed and had such great instructions for her. She was so proud, she even showed it off at school. The sound is decent for a little speaker and I love the retro look. I highly recommend this for anyone that wants to learn, great project!
