Most of them were broke when I received them. I can use the pieces but the larger size would have been much easier to handle with arthritic hands.

Excellent choice because of the ability to purchase the amount that you need, the colors are apparent and work well on dark, rough textures- essentially a great find and a great quality product.

These write well on fabric (only tried on cotton woven so far) but they are very brittle. Half were broke already but still usable

I was really impressed by this set of tailor's chalk. It came very well packaged in a really nice hard sided protective plastic case and though they do feel thin and fragile they all arrived fully intact. The chalk works very well, is easy to hold and use, and I really, really love the storage case. Keeps everything very neat and tidy and prevents accidental breakage that could occur otherwise. No, it is not fancy brand name ultra high quality tailor's chalk, but it does the job on a budget and I knew to manage my expectations from the moment I placed the order. This has greatly exceeded those expectations though, especially in terms of value. Chalk in any solid form is prone to breakage. Anyone old enough to remember when chalkboards were the standard and in constant use in school would know that. This set is well packaged in a solid plastic case that holds each piece securely in its own place, so clearly someone took that breakable nature into consideration. I was shocked to find all of the pieces intact, but even if a few had broken it was to be expected and sometimes the broken bits work even better than the whole ones when it comes to precision, tight turns, and awkward positions. Excellent quality set on a budget. Highly recommend.

I love to use chalk when sewing. I thought what a great deal. They mark well but you got a 3 because they break too easily. I will not buy them again.
