This matcha has a great price, however for smoothies or lattes it is a bit chalky and bitter. I found I had to use about 2/3 of a scoop instead of a heaping one, and a tad more honey to eliminate the slight bitterness. I then added a level teaspoon of organic virgin coconut oil which adds a bit of sweetness and really helps to smooth out the slight chalkiness to make a decent matcha latte. The bonus with the last step is I just visited the VA lab visit and the coconut oil really lowered my bad cholesterol and raised my good cholesterol into the beneficial range. It's not as strongly caffeinated so I then follow with a jasmine, white tea, or Irish breakfast to add the pep to my step. This matcha works well for cooking, and marinades. Try a matcha lime zest cilantro chimichuri and marinade steaks overnight, and see if doesn't hit the spot.

This was my first time buying matcha. I normally visit my local coffee shop, or the mermaid to get matcha lattes, etc. But 7-$10 a few times a week gets super pricey! So. I took a chance and bought this. And that chance was super worth it!! The flavor is strong, yet smooth. It is perfect hot or iced. Yes, I tried both!! Paired perfectly with almond milk, and oatmilk. Also, it's one of the larger bag options. Most of the ones I saw on ZeeBooth, were only 1-4oz. This is a WHOPPING 15 !!! Absolutely worth every penny.

I tried to cheap out on matcha for money reasons, and I've paid the price. I will now be digging myself out of this waste of money by the teaspoon until it's all gone. If you end up like me and hate it, I'd recommend trying to find some way to turn this into a baking item, to take up larger amounts. Or, if you're less guilt ridden about tossing technically edible food, throw it out. But I can almost guarantee that if you've tasted any green tea before you'll know the difference between good and bad, then realize this purchase is a waste of money. Even with larger amounts of honey, agave, syrups, milk, cream 5 grams of the stuff is vile. And yes, I've brewed at low temperatures, I've used completely cool water, I've used hot water, I've used tap and well-filtered. Literally. Nothing. Improves it. Don't make my mistake and let this low quality matcha cling to your palette. Avoid!
