These two rectangle cutting dies can be used in multiple ways. One of them being to run it through the die cutting machine, take all the loose pieces out and then you have a frame to lay over patterned paper and have it shine through. You could also have Vellum behind it and in front of a bright pattern to tone it down. Cut the frame out of black and then use tone on tone bright colors behind it to make a stained glass window effect. You can use the long narrow pieces as frames for sentiments. You can also take the frames and build up a design on a card front. I also think it would be interesting to cut the dies out of multiple different pattern papers and then use the frame to set the different pieces in, much like a puzzle. These hold so many possibilities. If you want a different background for a sentiment, you could use the piece that has 3 straight sides and then the long slant for a sentiment that is more than one line. You can use it in reverse too if needed since the die has it going both ways. Of course, you can use many of the geometric cut outs such as the triangles to make a 4 piece square. As a quilter I know I can use these pieces to make a paper quilt block for on a card. I know I could spend a long time figuring out what all I could do with these dies and then someone else could come along with even more ideas. I will try an post some pictures when I have time to have a play date for me in my craft room. Please NOTE: I found out when I first ran them through my Gemini Junior that they didn't completely cut through some of the lines by the edge. I tried it again and without taking anything apart I ran the whole sanwich through again, turned the opposite direction. That worked much better. It could have been the heavy cardstock I was using as well. As a Vine reviewer I always feel it is my job to offer warnings and solutions. In this instance I will be cautious with these dies. For the one that didn't cut through I had to use my good embroidery scissors to make fine cuts to remove the remaining pieces. I don't believe this to be a defect, but a combination of the paper and my machine, which happens. I apprciate the opportunity to try out these dies. Thank you.
