The media could not be loaded. We did need to make sure we set this up on a hard surface; it won't line up well on carpet. But it was fun even without a battery. Our 8 year old cousin played with it all by himself and enjoyed reconfiguring the tracks, while the 3 year old cousin needed assistance and guidance when playing with it (but you should've heard him belly-laugh when we turned the little tank on and set it loose on the track :)). They both enjoyed it.

Lots of activity with this one set. It includes the track pieces, which have pictures and tank track on one side and are numbered on the back, army men in two different colors, screwdriver for the tank's battery compartment, and a tank that ZIPS around the track and speeds across bare floor too. The tank takes 1 AAA battery, *not included*. My preschool grandkids had no trouble setting up the track with a little guidance so that the tank tracks line up. The set includes a booklet with multiple different configurations of the puzzle track, kids can follow the ideas or make their own. When set on the track and engaged with the track grooves the little tank ZIPS around the pattern at top speed. The kids got a kick out of the drawings on the puzzle track, and loved the army men which they set up on the track and then also played with separately. The tank has a battery compartment that's closed by a tiny screw, a small screwdriver is included to open/close this. There's an on/off switch on the tank's underside. A big plus to this toy is the options for setting up the track, every time it's assembled it can be a different configuration.

Not as described. I got this to go with other sets we have but the puzzle pieces are not as shown in some pictures. They are a different shape and not compatible with other sets. See picture 4. It is a fun toy and the kids love these. It is nicely boxed for gifting but not for matching the shape.

There were various ways to set up the puzzle pieces to create a track that the tank could drive around on. My boys loved playing with the army men and setting them in the path of the tank. The little tank is fun to watch and very entertaining. This became a toy that all three of my littles loved arguing over whose turn it was. Ages 4, 6 & 7

Track assembly is easy. Image shows some variations, but there are many more you can create on your own. The accessory pieces are nice but get knocked off the platform when the tank drives around. Batteries die if you leave them in the tank (even in off position), so you have to remove them after each use, which is a bit of a pain.
