This protein powder is chocolatey, and it has a good flavor that isn't too sweet. It makes a good hot cocoa when heated with milk. At only 7 servings per container, it's not the cheapest, but if you prefer a protein powder that has a good flavor, this is a pretty good one.

The taste really stands out with this whey isolate. I like to have only cold water and hand mix my whey to really test it. This breaks up fairly well and doesn't get very clumpy. The taste with just water is great. This makes a great shake or any other chocolate flavored protein concoction. I prefer whey isolate, but it does cost a bit more.

This chocolate flavored protein powder is delicious mixed with almond milk and a frozen banana adds creaminess. I do like to add some flax seeds as well for healthy fat. Each serving, 1/3 cup, provides a whopping 25g of protein with only 1g of sugar and 1g of net carbs (factoring in the dietary fiber). This is a great way to consume high protein with little carbs. A great energy source to start my day!

I wouldn't say this is my favorite chocolate protein powder, but I've had way worse. It's acceptable in water, and that's my standard for a good tasting protein powder. I usually mix my protein with milk, but I like a powder that's at least tolerable in water. I wouldn't buy this protein to mix primarily with water. It just falls a bit short. I've had protein powders that are phenomenal even in water and this isn't one of them. Nonetheless, it's fine and not something I have to choke down. I can't put my finger on it, but it almost has the taste of a plant based protein--there's something vegetal about it. Pretty unnoticeable in milk, though. Some of the other TransformHQ whey flavors are only 20g of protein per serving, so make sure you're paying attention to the label. Other companies make it so each serving of their powders are equal across the flavor board, but label the container as having fewer servings. I feel like that sort of label is more transparent and saying that other flavors have seven servings of a smaller portion of protein is a little misleading.

The first thing I noticed about this protein shake is that it is not too sweet. It is sweet but not so much that it makes my teeth ache. I appreciate that. It contains cocoa powder and added flavours, and tastes of chocolate in a watered down way. I think that happens because unlike regular chocolate, it does not have the cocoa butter to add that richness. But it is pleasant enough and I plan to have it after meals, so it forms a sort of healthy dessert. The shake provides 25 gm. of protein per serving which goes well with the amount I need to take.
