This is a review of " DR. DHOBLES REMEDIES Triphala for Gentle Colon Cleanse, Digestive Aid, Detox, Herbal Ayurvedic Bowel Cleanser, Helps Digestion, Amla, Haritaki & Bibhitaki, Organic, Vegan, Gluten-Free, 90 Capsules ". [As a vine reviewer, I am pledging not to be compensated or influenced by the vendor; I state my opinions based on my personal experience without any bias or pressure; I am not a doctor and therefore the review below should be viewed against this disclaimer] If you are into naturopathy or alternative medicine, the term 'Ayurveda' should not be alien to you: It is a system of medicine from India based on a holistic treatment of the mind and body using naturally available substances such as plant-based concoctions and powders. Now this particular product is from a US subsidiary of an Indian pharma firm named Dr.Dhoble's and they sell India-made Ayurvedic products such as the Triphala capsules we are reviewing. The term Triphala itself translates literally as the 'three fruits in sanskrit. These are the three fruits that are considered to be the elixir when it comes to digestive health: Amla (Indian Gooseberry), Harada (also known as Haritaki) and Bahera (also known as Bibhitaki or Vibheetaki). Amla is the most well known fruit and is widely available even in the US. Amla can even be consumed directly if you are able to take the sour taste of it. This particular combo of a medicine is advertised for improved digestive health and is known to have no side effects. In my case, I tried this for a few days using the same prescribed dosage of 2 capsules and twice a day after the meals. I did experience the expected benefits of low bloating of the tummy which was the reason for me to try Triphala in the first place. I felt generally good from a mood point of you as I got some indications that the digestive track was clean and digestions were all in order. Obviously we cannot tell if this is a placebo effect or whether this capsule was helping. I certainly did not experience any side effects. In fact a slight headache I experience in the mornings also had vanished, which I will assume is because this medicine as that was the only new thing I was trying. Note: The capsules are the standard size (a bit large). The other positive is that the capsules are fairly long-life (my bottles's expiry was a good three years away). The bottle is clearly labeled and lists that the manufacturing facility (in India) is certified and the US contact details are provided. I always develop more confidence when the provenance of a product is clearly displayed. All in all, the price is right and this is a product that does what it is intended to do. So for those reasons, I will be glad to give it the five out of five stars.

I liked that this was an herbal and natural blend, gluten-free and has no artificial flavors and fillers. I was looking for something that would help with digestion and ease my stomach that reacts to a variety of foods in a way that would support good digestion. It has been working well so far and I can feel less bloating with some foods.

These herbal, Ayurvedic capsules are really good for digestive health. These are organic and vegan. Its a blend of three herbal fruits Amla, Haritaki & Bibhitaki which supports digestion. Its proven to be effective in relieving constipation. Its easy to swallow and does not leave any aftertaste.

Standard capsules. No unpleasant odor or taste. No unconfortable side effects. If tgey work it is very gentle. I didn't notice any changes.

I've taken triphala before in another brand and am one of those individuals who does not experience stomach upset or digestive issues from it, thankfully. In taking this brand, I maintain no negative side effects. With herbal supplements, it can take weeks or months for it to impact the body, so I cannot attest to the quality of the ingredients just yet. However, if I notice improvements by the time the bottle is empty, I will happily update this review to reflect that. Capsules are packaged in a brown plastic bottle and have no odor or flavor when ingested with liquid. I have not noted any digestive issues, although others report sometimes experiencing it, so consider your body and system when starting any new supplement. I think the price at just under $10 makes this an excellent value.
