It's sold as a 5.5 x 8.25 in but its really a a 8.25x5.5 unless you hold it vertically, which is misleading towards the lettering tags on the package.

I received this sketchbook as a gift. I'm using it with fountain pens, the ink doesn't bleed through and barely shows through in dark spots. I'm able to use both sides of the pages, no problem. I would love this in other formats: I'd get A5 portrait, and the gifter wants A4 portrait! I wish I could find more info about what this paper is, I'd try making the sizes we need.

There are better papers for doing a lot of blending, but it's small, fairly sturdy, and the paper doesn't bleed through to the next page, which makes it ideal for a portable marker sketchbook. I was really impressed with this one for the price.

This would work great as a journal for me, as well as a drawing pad. I am visually impaired and write and sometimes draw with Sharpie makers or similar. The problem I have with most journals is that they bleed through and I can only use one side of the page. Not so with this! that's a huge plu for me! I would be able to do my colored drawings in this book too. It's a little small, which is the reason I amrekd it down a star--and it's very plain. And not sure how the long the cover will hold up to being carried around and used a lot. Otherwise, it's nice paper--not so thick--yet still bleedproof. It's very crisp white and smooth, no texture to the paper.

I have been learning to use my alcohol marker collection the last few months. The one thing I wanted, though, was a small book to take with me that was not as big and bulky as the pads I have. This book is PERFECT. HOW THIS COMES This comes wrapped in plastic and has an elastic band in it to keep your pages. It also has a ribbon marker. PERFORMANCE This book is FANTASTIC. I really went to town doing a marker drawing with plenty of blending and lots of marker action and layering. The markers did not soak through AT ALL. The alcohol markers I used on this soak through everything but my marker pad- and even then you can see through it more than the pages in this! THE BOTTOM LINE This book is perfect. I love the elastic closure, ribbon marker, and the fact that the markers do NOT soak through the back of the papers. MY RATING FIVE STARS. I will definitely be buying more of these books. They are the perfect size for me, especially when I want to draw in a small space or travel with my markers.
