Writes very well. The lead rotates unlike other mechanical pencils that you have to turn when the point becomes blunted. Good news about the packaging: it appears to provide a wealth of information about the pencil. Bad news: all of the text is written in Chinese characters.

This really works. The lead rotates as described, keeping a nice sharp point. The sheath holding the lead keeps it at just the correct length and really reduces lead breakage. It has become my favorite pencil.

I think it's an okay pencil for the price, and I like the rotating lead. I've made a list (and checked it twice) of pros and cons below. PRO: - Lightweight - Comfortable to hold and write with for extended periods of time - Aesthetically pleasing - Rotating lead and even writing CON: - Eraser is ridiculously small - The caps covering the erasers are hard to remove, and are lost easily - You can't order or request a replacement cap - Without the cap you can't use the pencil - Feels cheap - Plastic and less durable - Overpriced for all the problems with it

Kuru Togas are the best mechanical pencils ever made. Period. As someone whose handwriting is often small and utilitarian, it is a heaven sent. I can also tell that it does its job, as lead seems to last far longer in this than in any other pencil. This is my third Kuru Toga, and I'll say this one lands somewhere between the Roulette (better) and the Standard (not quite as good). What I love about this one is that the metal point slides into the body. Couple that with it being ~1/2 the price of the Roulette, and you have a great pencil for your backpack. You don't have to worry about it piercing your backpack, and it's cheap enough that losing it wouldn't be the end of the world. It's also light so it won't fatigue your hand. That makes for a great note-taking pencil in my book. While I prefer the knurled grip of the Roulette, but I like that this pencil has just a slight rubber ring towards the business end. Just enough to keep it from slipping around, and still not covered in rubber like other models. I'm not a fan of rubber grip pencils because they just seem to just get gross and make my hand overly sweaty.
