PRODUCT ITSELF IS EXCELLENT! BUT the too long "Gripper" adhesive strip (to prevent leaking during shipment) has excessive adhesive, ripping and damaging the product label when trying to remove it. Removing it carefully doesn't prevent damage, and it takes 5 minutes per bottle to grasp an edge and slowly remove it. Needs an appropriate light level of adhesive. This level of adhesive is good for heavy machine parts.

Ive begun to experiment with Variance as a way to clean and possibly extend the life of my daughters competitive swim tech suits. Manufacturers suggest rinsing these high-end tech suits simply with clean water. I get why any laundering and most detergents are harmful to these specialty performance garments but I cant see how body oils and residues are less harmful. Anyway, I squirted a tablespoon of this into the bathroom sink with cold water, gently swished the suit around and rinsed. So far so goodher suit looks and smells clean and the textile appears to have the same dry-hand feel, initial water resistance, and compression as if it were brand new. Will try to update my review with more results after more washings.

It is easy to use and allows me to take better care of my investments. I really like to take care of my undergarments because they can be expensive. I work in a warehouse so even with using it likely to hand wash my work bras it lasts a while. Its even good for my extremely sensitive skin. Even when Im sleep deprived I can follow the instructions on this and that is a godsend. LOL My cousin was the one who told me about it and I am so grateful for that.

I first bought Forever New for my own bras and underthings. It works great, keeps my delicate, expensive pieces in good condition far longer than standard detergent, and I love the delicate scent. But I needed something that would work equally well for my son's ballet things without the light, feminine scent I love with Forever New. Variance has fit the bill. His ballet wear is delicate, mostly synthetic material and it takes a beating. It's worn for 4-5 hours every day (obviously many pieces in rotation) and sweated on with the stink only a young man can produce. Variance pulls out stains, removes the odors, and keeps the fabric in good condition so the elastic doesn't wear out prematurely. One other reviewer noted she had experienced dye transfer. We did have this happen one time when new black tights were accidentally tossed into the wash for the first time with white shirts. The shirts took on a sickly greenish hue and had to be soaked in Oxyclean (which I would generally avoid, since it's so much harder on the fabrics). I have not found this to be an issue when we wash new black tights separately the first time and do a quick vinegar rinse. After that, we toss everything into the machine on "hand wash" with Variance and they come out clean and fresh. I'm back buying this stuff for the third or fourth time... Apparently while staying in the dorms at Summer Intensive this year, the other kids noticed that my son's detergent was working better than theirs, so he managed to go through an entire tub. That's quite a feat, since 16oz will usually give us ~40 loads of laundry.
