The Velpeau Sacroiliac Belt arrived, a tightly packed enigma within a humble box. A promise of sacroiliac bliss, it whispered. But alas, the path to said bliss proved a touch more cumbersome than anticipated. The fit, once achieved, was commendable. A snug embrace it offered, cradling the hips with a reassuring firmness. But the act of achieving this fit? Ah, that's a jig of a different sort! A solo endeavor, it is not. Patience and a touch of contortion are required, a wrestling match with straps and strings that would test the mettle of a seasoned sailor. Enlist a friend, a helping hand; another would be a most welcome addition to this pre-wear ritual. Now, where immediate relief was concerned, my own expectations, perhaps inflated by fervent hope, cast a long shadow. The promised benefits, while not entirely absent, did not arrive with the fanfare I had envisioned. So, a verdict I must deliver. Four stars I award this Velpeau, for its snug embrace and supportive presence. But a word to the wise: enlist a patient soul to assist you in your donning of this therapeutic garment. After all, a good jig I believe, is always best danced with a partner.

I did not expect much from this, after all - it's just a strap, right? WRONG. Wronger than wrong! (I'm making up words for this.) I have had SI joints for ages, so I'm just kind of used to it but pain management is something I live with. This feels like it is ALWAYS supporting my joints, and I have no words to describe what that's like. I needed it. It feels so - freeing. I'm walking around with a bounce in my step. For the first time in ages. Wow. It feels good. The smaller straps that enable you to tighten it to fit perfectly is a real game-changer. It's not just sitting on there. It is actually sort of "made to fit". My back and hips feel wonderful. What a change. You CAN wear this under clothing, but there's a lot of hook and loop on it, so I would not. I am using it over my clothing. That said, also, a real plus is that it's washable. NOT machine washable, but hand washing in cold water. I will lay mine flat to dry. This kit also came with a little bookmark with a ribbon on it that gives you some company information, and a paper tape measure, as well as a little booklet discussing the product itself. I don't know how this will work long-term, I'll update this if something changes. But for now? It's incredible. It feels so good. Best of all it's allowing me to do exercises that will hopefully strengthen the areas *around* my weak spots in order to then make my life easier. Hopefully. I'm very happy with this item, and at just under $19 currently, I believe it's a steal (for me). Definitely recommend!

Trust me when I tell you, Ive tried them all. Ive bought plenty and returned plenty. Trust me please. Get this affordable belt. I am amazed by the price, durability. Quality. Wow. Belt is well made. I work in construction, I like the fact that its easy to adjust the tension and it stayed in place all day.

Sizing is a little misleading. States it will fit up to a 37" waist. My waist is 34" and I can barely get the main Velcro to latch.
