These colored pencils are good for toddlers and little children learning how to hold a pencil. They are slim and light, and they come with two grip pencil holders that will help children develop good writing form. These are also good for using adult coloring books because they have soft color cores so you don't have to press really hard to get color. These colors are very vibrant as well. This is a small set, but the colored pencils work nicely.

This Bunny Ear Vibrant Colored Pencil Set is a nice quality starter set. It comes with 12 wooden pencils, two grip-trainers and a sharpener. The pieces are stored in a molded plastic tray that slides into a cardboard box. The pencils are good quality, with cores that are perfectly centered and colors that are vivid and bright. I like that the set comes with a sharpener, but make sure you sharpen over a trashcan or bin so that you don't get pencil shavings everywhere. The box actually says that this is a Toddler Pencil Set, but I'm not sure these are a good idea for a child just learning how to hold a pencil, simply because when you re-sharpen these with the sharpener, the pencils have quite sharp points. Crayons would do a similar job with less danger for little ones. The other thing I dislike about the set is the molded plastic tray. Mine arrived crushed on the corner, and the tray itself is difficult to get in and out of the box without opening both ends, because the tray gets caught on the cardboard flaps.

I didn't read the description well when I ordered these and missed that they are for toddlers. I would say it's perfect for a toddler. Bright colors and nice variety for a set of 12. It comes with a sharpener and a grip trainer. They do color nicely too.

I am one of those peoplea holdout who still enjoys coloring to relax. And it happened that the same day I received these pencils, we found a set of pencils in a curb alert giveaway that looked really high-end, so when I had time that night, I had to try out both. Much to my surprise, this set is by far the better set. The shading thanks to the soft core is a huge plus with this set. I can lay down everything from a very soft shade of the color down to a deep jewel tone with these. They also blend into other colors very nicely and without any waxiness or hardening of the colors. That these colors are so pretty just makes these all the more wonderful. But the set had one more surprise in store for methe sharpener that comes with it does a damned good job of making it easy to keep the pencils nice and sharp for those thin spaces in a design. Despite the soft core, they also do not wear down in the blink of an eye. They look to have lasting power maybe even longer than a pen. Despite sharpening them all, none of these is visibly diminished in length. So it looks like Ill get to have fun with these for a long while. I had been an avowed pen user, but these pencils have me hyperfocused on working with them instead.
