I first heard about Rutin on the Longevity and Nootropics subreddits where it has some advocates as an alternative precursor to Quercetin for use as an antioxidant supplement. I have taken a full course of Rutin in the past and while I've not been able to identify any specific benefits, I like the idea of taking a safe antioxidant that is a natural bioflavinoid. This example of Rutin is a high-potency preparation and even though the capsules are very large, it is easy to swallow due to the smooth and uniform capsules. The Vitamatic Rutin Supplement is delivered in a very large bottle that could hold 300 capsules but only has 180 in it, so the bottle came almost half empty, which is somewhat frustrating since the large bottle is harder to store with my other supplements. This is a minor complaint and hopefully the manufacturer will source more appropriately sized bottles in the future.

Supplements help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food, and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out. This bottle comes about half full, which is one of my pet peeves with many supplement companies (especially with a bottle this big!). If used as directed it will last three months. I'd prefer they put in more capsules and/or use a smaller bottle. The expiration date on mine (THANK YOU for not putting it on the bottom of the bottle!) is May 2027, so a little less than three years from now. The capsules have a light scent and taste, and are easy to swallow with water. I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says non-GMO, made in USA, and has a GMP stamp. I look into the supplement companies I use because I've come across so many questionable ones. The vitamaticusa site is functional. I would like it to be more informative. For example, the About Us page says their three pillars, but nothing about the company, how it started, who started and/or now runs it, information on their sourcing and manufacturing, etc. The Contact page says you can call, email, or fill out the form below, but there is no phone number anywhere. The social media links just cycle back to the website. The address for Proempire, the trademark owner, is a house. I've used Vitamatic before and thought they were a pretty big company, but other than a generic website I can't find them anywhere. I did locate a FB page, but even when it was briefly active a few years ago, they were unresponsive to posts. To take a supplement, and especially to recommend it to someone else, I like some transparency in the company and the ability to verify claims on the supplement and product page. I've not been able to do that here, so don't recommend it. It seems good and I want to like it... if I am able to verify anything I will update here. Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

I have tried a couple of other products from Vitamatic and they have been of decent quality. The capsules are typical in size... and they have no taste or odor. The capsules could be smaller if Vitamatic wouldnt use additives. In addition to the Rutin and cellulose capsule is rice flour, which they are using as a filler. It also contains magnesium stearate, which is used as a flow agent. Many manufacturers have stopped using magnesium stearate as it is known to cause digestive issues... especially if taking multiple supplements each day that contain it. Personally, I try to avoid it. There is nothing on the product page or bottle label showing where this product is manufactured or where the ingredients are sourced from.

This bottle has 180 capsules which is three full months worth of support. The only active ingredient is Rutin from the Sophora japonica plant. Made in the USA in a GMP facility. I like this supplement!

Definitely interested in a rutin supplement. These are easy to swallow capsules. Good dose. No adverse effects; no taste issues. Good product.
