This natural niacin supplement comes from organic guava and tulsi. The pills are easy to swallow. The pills are odorless and tasteless. The only downside is that the bottle is only for 15 days.

Vendor states that this product is "High Potency: Delivers a high daily dose of 250mg", BUT, this is mid-range for B3 doses available. Also, having an in-house lab sounds great, but a 3rd party would be better. It's a good idea to look for supplements that are GMP (General Manufacturing Procedure) accredited, and have their testing done by a third party. Any supplement vendor would brag about that fact, but this vendor does not. One good thing about the dosage split across multiple tablets, is you can better control the dose. 5 stars because it is B3, I can split the dosage, and they're not making ridiculous claims other than the "high potency" statement.

Since I consider niacin a relative commodity, I don't typically pay attention to aspects of niacin products beyond capsule or tablet size, and cost. I've been bouncing between different brands for quite some time since first being prescribed 1000mg of niacin per day, split evenly between morning and evening, and I started consistently getting 500mg tablets from a generic brand called Major last year because it's inexpensive at $0.09 per tablet at current prices, but recently switched to another generic brand called Rugby because it's currently priced at only $0.03 per tablet when buying a bottle of 1000. Another reviewer here commented that this Natural Scientific niacin product is the "first niacin [they] found in such high dose", but 250mg and 500mg capsules and tablets are pretty standard in the industry and I've used a product providing as low as 100mg of niacin per tablet from Dr Mercola. All of this said, however, the product description here is incorrect in stating that Natural Scientific "delivers a high daily dose of 250mg", because as you can see from my nearby photo, because each serving only provides 200mg of niacin, not to mention the fact that this volume is based on a serving size of 3 capsules, meaning each capsule only provides 200 / 3 = 66.67mg of niacin! Now, I've often said that supplements made from whole foods such as this product go a much longer way than synthetic isolates found in products such as Major and Rugby, so I know that it's an apples and oranges comparison. Because my current daily dosage of niacin is now 2000mg, and I've discovered that niacin helps induce sleep, instead of consuming 4 tablets of Rugby in the evening I've recently been consuming 3 tablets of Rugby alongside 1 tablet of Natural Scientific. The getnaturalscientific dot com has a great explanatory page on its incorporation of PreBioFiber in this product, including research citations, but doesn't explicitly state percentage increase in bioavailability and absorption when compared to synthetic isolates.
