Although I don't believe these correct a bunion, they do help in managing it and possibly in it not progressing further. I wear them every night while sleeping, and often at home while walking around the house (bear feet with brace on; brace gets dirty but can be hand-washed periodically). After putting on, you use the long strap to wrap around the brace so it doesn't pop open. I have a bunion on just one foot, but you can use both braces interchangeable for the same foot. I would definitely recommend this!

I shouldn't rate these yet because I haven't used them. They were uncomfortable to walk in. Out of curiosity, I put the one labeled for the right foot on the left foot and the "left" one on the right foot. Ah, much better. I can walk without discomfort. Putting them on the "correct" foot per the labels, puts the velcro fasteners underfoot making it uncomfortable to walk. If I put them on the "wrong" foot, the fasteners are on top of my foot and it doesn't hurt to walk. I looked at the illustration in the instructions and it shows the fasteners on top of the foot. The instructions are correct, but the labels on the splints are wrong. These are made in China and it's no surprise if they are labeled wrong.

I purchased this item for a bunion I believe is forming on the outside of my foot along my big toe. The fit was a little cumbersome and putting it around my big toe was a bit uncomfortable. I wear a size 11 shoe and purchased a Large. Which would have worked had it not been uncomfortable around my toe.

I use this during jiu jitsu for a recurring turf toe injury (or perhaps arthritis). It works well for the purpose and takes a fraction of the time that taping does. Only negative is the Velcro wears out over time but I don't know how that could be avoided. This will not fit under a shoe.

I love these and they really work, even if they dont stay cold for long. I had a toe cheilectomy years ago and the orthopedic surgeon really messed up my big toe by giving me the wrong surgery to remove a bone spur. I now have severe arthritis in the joints of my big toe and a bunion the side. It gets so bad that the toe starts hurting so bad and swells up just from walking or riding in the car in one spot for a long time. These fit my foot like a glove and they get freezing cold in the freezer. Oddly, the cold feels amazing against the bare skin of my foot/toe. It loosens up my toe so that the joints can pop and then I feel so much better. Buy theses! You wont be sorry if you are an arthritis sufferer in your big toe.
