I am sometimes skeptical as to how well RFID blocking products perform after purchasing items in the past which werent exactly good at blocking; you also need to pay attention to the particulars of what your blocking wallet blocks as there are multiple frequencies used for NFC and RFID and your blocking wallet may only block some of them. I took this wallet, placed my credit cards and proximity (HID) door access card in it and tried reading them both with my phone as well as actual card readers. I was not able to scan any of my cards which is great due to how easy it is to scan cards located in your wallet, inside your pants or purse, with special antennas. This is a common way thieves can steal your card info without you even using them. When going on vacation, I always bring my regular thick chunky wallet, but when walking around town I like to leave my full wallet in the room safe and being a little cash, my hotel key, and just one credit card so if I am the unfortunate victim of a lost or stolen wallet, Ill only lose a few cards and the rest will still be safe, sound, and useable; never leave all your eggs, err.. cards, in one basket or wallet in this case. The micro fiber leather looks pretty sharp, and while I cant confirm this is real leather, its good enough for me and doesnt look or feel cheap by any means. I definitely recommend this wallet, and it makes a great gift too!

as a wallet it's pretty good

In order not to be surprised or disappointed, apparently "microfiber leather" is what we're calling vinyl these days. So wherever you see "microfiber" mentioned, understand that it's a version of plastic; don't be confused by the word "leather". This never came from an animal. That said, there are plenty of slide-out pockets for easy access to credit cards and your ID. Those who grew up stuffing every credit receipt into their wallets will need to learn some new habits, as there is precious little room for such; but that's the minimalist aesthetic, I suppose. So if you overlook the attempt to pass this off as genuine leather, this is a five-star wallet: construction is sturdy, cards don't fly out without warning, stitching is even and attractive. Two stars deducted for misleading verbiage in describing the material from which it's made.
