Now this is what I call a heavy duty travel pill case! I love to go camping and travel, and have yet to find a pill carrier that is secure enough to take along with me. The plastic ones are always too flimsy and tend to accidentally pop open, especially when they're mixed in with my other camping gear. I needed something that was more secure. Thankfully, this came just in time before my camping trip. Right out of the box, I was genuinely surprised by the weight of this thing. This is some solid metal, and it has the weight to prove it. it comes with a nice drawstring to carry it along as you walk, which is helpful. The writing on the side is also durable and has not worn off at all throughout use. I was worried when I first opened the cups that the pills would move around too much, considering that there is a slot for morning and night pills. However, once all of the cups are put together, the separators stay flush with the bottom of the cup above. This makes sure that all of the pills stay perfectly in place, despite how much the case gets knocked around during travel. Each cup comes with its own silicone ring to keep everything secure and waterproof. It even came with a bag of extra rings in case I ever need to replace one in the future I will say that this is probably not great for those who have tremors or weaker hands. My grandma is unable to open these, as they take just a bit too much strength to get one single cup to open. I really love it for myself though! I'm so surprised by the quality of this set overall. This is just what I have been looking for for my travel needs! It might not be the best for your average daily use, but for being on the go this is exactly what I have needed!

I got this "XHT Metal Travel Pill Organizer 2 Times a Day - Waterproof Weekly Pill Box, Portable Am Pm Twice Daily Pill Case, Heavy Duty Pill Container Holder for Vitamin Medicine Fish Oil, Pink" because I take pills and vitamins twice a day and I find cases like these to be very useful. Now this is a very good case for the right person. It is very heavy duty and comes equipped with o-rings to keep the contents waterproof, and it even has an extra set of o-rings in case you lose or break any. To fill this case, you simply unscrew the top of the compartment you wish to access. It is labeled with the days of the week, but be advised it is not labeled in Braille. Each compartment has a fixed divider, as you will see in the photos above. Each section in the compartment can hold as many as seven standard-sized capsules. For shorter trips, the case can be shortened as you can see in the photo above. Using the top, the case can be customized and used with anywhere from one to seven compartments. The strap seems to be securely affixed. The only drawback I see is that it is on the heavy side, which could be a concern when packing for air travel. Anyone who would use this case in a water or boating environment, or even in a very humid environment would find it very convenient, I believe. If you want, you could even use this to hold small quantities of gels, creams, ointments, etc for travel purposes. It would not work for liquids. Another plus for some customers: it does not look like a traditional medical pill container. You can't see through it and people who do not want to show a pill container in public might be more likely to choose this style of pill container. It has a sleek appearance. Give it a try if you think it would be suitable for your individual purposes, because this is a cleverly-designed and well-made product.

For my meds this is useful albeit heavy. If I were say backpacking and was worried about the overall weight of my pack this might not be an option I would pick. In terms of useability the "days" screw on and come off very easily. Its durable and seems like it will probably last a lifetime

This is a sturdy pill organizer, and for some people I'm positive it's the perfect item for their needs. However, for me, there are a few things that could be improved upon that could make it even better. First of all, it is built very strong and durable. There are o-rings that seal each section together making it air and water-tight. These o-rings can easily be replaced with same sized o-rings from any local hardware store. This is great for outdoor use in inclement weather, boaters, and so forth. However, when the individual sections are screwed down so that their etched days all align in a single column, the sections are screwed together so tightly that it's difficult to get the day you want loose without inadvertently loosening or overtightening the other sections. I have a slight Parkinson's-light tremor in my hands, and this can make aligning the threads to screw the individual sections together difficult without accidentally cross-threading them and damaging the soft aluminum alloy they are made from. Something to be aware of if your hands are rock-solid steady. This is not a negative for the item, but nonetheless it is a problem you may encounter if you aren't steady handed. Each day's pill cup has a divider running right down the middle to separate morning/evening doses. While the cups are generously sized, the divider actually reduces the capacity so that my morning pills do not all fit. I have to split my morning pills across both sections and use the pill organizer for daytime only, and use a second container for my evening medications. This is only a problem for people that take more a three or four small pills at a time. The other issue with the divider is when dumping the pills out, you have to be sure to cover the day/night section you don't want to take yet with a finger or thumb to keep them in, otherwise both sides fall out into your hand at the same time. This is kind of pain again if you are in a rush and not steady-handed. The black finish is nice looking, it is very eye-catching, but it is also easily damaged. Not just from scrapes, but also from abrasions and friction. Within a week of it rubbing around inside my canvas gear bag (being the only thing in that particular pocket), the finish had worn off in spots leaving bare metal sections exposed. Mind you this is just friction from cotton canvas cloth rubbing against it. Finally, this is quite heavy for a pill carrier. If you are looking for a light-weight solution, this may not be it. It's rugged design means that it does weigh more than a brittle flimsy plastic carrier would. This is not an issue for me, but it is something to be aware of. I have aluminum bodied flashlights that weigh less than this. But once again, I am able to rest assured that if something gives this pill organizer a hard knock, my medications are staying put inside and aren't going to spill out everywhere; and in the end that's the most important thing to me.
