I love this puzzle. My kids had similar when they were little and when I saw this I had to get for my grandson. The colors are bright , made onto the wood, not cheesy stickers like some I've seen. Great size for small hands and well finished. The cute cards that show a picture of what the finished puzzle should look like are adorable. Good thick quality cards with musical references to open up conversations about music and instruments. We love music at our house and I just loved how creative it was to add this to the cards. Grandson loves these, I hope they make more.
I have some learners who stack my puzzle pieces, and then I have some learners who are avid puzzle solvers. I have some learners who play this like a game, and other learners who prefer alone time. These little wooden block puzzles are fantastic. The animals are so bright and colorful. For my more advanced learners they use the side of the card that suggests the scene, they use the side with the little writing on it. This makes the puzzle even more challenging for them.
I had one of these when I was a kid so I was happy to see it offered for sale. I picked it up for my little one. This consists of nine blocks, each side having a part of a picture on it. The object is the find all of the sides of the pieces that go together to make a complete picture of an animal. Since each block has six sides, there are six animal puzzles that can be put together. This also came with a set of cards with illustrations of the animals, so a younger child can use the pictures to find the right piece & see its correct position in the puzzle. This is a great idea, especially for younger kids who are just becoming skilled with spatial orientation & the position in which things fit together to make a complete picture. Older children probably wouldn't need the pictures as much as younger kids, but it's nice to have them so they can refer to them if needed & also to check their work when they're done. It's a nice puzzle/game that can be appropriate for many ages & stages of development. That's always good in my book. It a toy can last over several years & still present a challenge, or be a form or amusement, it'll often get an A+ in my book. It's also a fun way for a child to occupy themselves quietly, if they're sick in bed, riding in a car or going on a trip. I like this a lot & would recommend it to others. It's a fun little activity & it would also make a great gift.
I ordered this charming puzzle for my 18 month old great-grandson. I like to have new toys once in a while for the two of us to enjoy together. The animal pictures are so sweet. They are bright and colorful and instantly engaging for him. We are enjoying them so much!
This is an interesting set. Comes with little blocks. Each block has 1 piece of 6 different puzzles. When all the pieces are turned so the same puzzle is facing up, the blocks can be arranged to form the picture. It comes with little cards to show you what the pictures should look like when the puzzle is finished. Well made.
