This is exactly what I was looking for. It has soft lead but not so soft that you can't see it. The lead is thick enough that it doesn't break easily. This package contains six pencils and three sets of .7 lead and also two large erasers that are very soft and do not smudge. I am so happy I got this so now I don't have to keep buying pencils and wasting plastic. They are a great value as you get so many items for not a lot of money. They are nice looking too with colors of pastel green, pink and purple.

WRITECH is one brand that I genuinely really like, and these mechanical pencils do not disappoint. The pencils themselves are made really well. The grips feel great and are comfortable for long papers or quick notes. While Im not sure of the function for the hatch-door clip, it does not effect function or use. The clip slides in when the cap is pressed and back out when released. It seems like an extra mechanic that isnt necessarily needed, but is interesting. The cap does not include an eraser. This is not a huge deal for me, though, as I tend to not use the cap erasers. I find they wear down too quickly blocking the access for lead refills. To remedy this, WRITECH includes two separate erasers that work great. Each pencil comes prefilled with lead, and two lead refill containers come with these pencils! These are another great product from WRITECH allowing you to comfortably write, edit, or rewrite with ease. I would recommend this product!

The grip is comfortable and allows for effortless writing. The lead is smooth and easy to erase in case of errors. Love the colors and packaging.

These are very nice mechanical pencils. The come in pretty pastel colors. The triangular design of the barrel is at first an unusual feel but within a few minutes convinces you that it is one of the most comfortable pencils you have ever owned. The barrel is a soft and non-slip surface and is easy to hold on to. For some unknown reason it made my hand feel relaxed even when writing for long periods. The lead is a 0.7 size which I prefer since it is not too thin/narrow and does not break easily during use. The lead is smooth and easy to write with. I don't understand the "hatch door clip" design or what its purpose is. It took me quite a while to get it closed again once I opened it. I'm not sure why you would want to do that regularly. There are three leads in each pencil and four spare boxes of a total of 48 replacement leads. You will be writing for quite a while with all those leads. The only thing I don't like are the erasers. There is nothing wrong with the included erasers but I greatly prefer the eraser to be attached to the end of the pencil whether a traditional or a mechanical pencil. The two small erasers included with this pack are very nice but are something else to keep track of, something that you have to find and use when needing an eraser instead of your eraser being conveniently found at the end of the pencil. I know that some artists and draftsmen prefer a separate eraser but I am neither of those and would have liked them attached. Otherwise, great mechanical pencils in pretty colors.

My kids needed some mechanical pencils for school, and they're very happy with these so far. They liked the variety of colors, and they found them very easy to use and to refill. With a half-dozen pencils, two decent erasers, and a bunch of refills these should last them a long time -- at least until they inevitably lose them haha. They use a pretty standard refill size, so it'll be easy to find additional lead refills in the future, when they run out.... The only potential negative with this set is that the plastic shells and internals used for the pencils feels kinda lightweight, so we'll have to see how well they hold up to being used at school and home and getting knocked around in a backpack, etc... So far they seem good, and hopefully they last at least a year, but I have a feeling these will break eventually (if they don't get lost first). I've had higher-quality (and more expensive) metal mechanical pencils before that these can't really compare with -- but as a fun set that the kids don't have to get too worried about accidentally losing or breaking, this set seems perfect, as long as they they don't break too quickly.
