The 8pcs Diamond Painting Coasters Kit was a wonderful summer break project for the children! It was easy enough for the 10-13 year old children to not need any assistance, and our 7 year old was able to complete most of it and only needed a little direction. When the children were done we used some glue to seal the project and place on the wall for decoration. This is great for a quiet-time activity, but make sure that you have a lot of little bags close by for when you need to switch out stones. 5 Stars!!!!!

For what it is, I thought this was a fun, simple kit. The designs aren't complex or intricate, but the kit includes everything to get started, and you can get a taste of whether you like to diamond paint or not! I enjoyed doing this whenever I had some free time to kill and wanted something mindless and easy to do.

Everything about this kit is nifty, save for one thing - quality control. One of my coasters was very warped, and because of the thin wood material, theres no saving it. The rest were perfect. Nice small projects if bigger diamond art projects are overwhelming for you. Plus theyre functional! No cork backing, just thin wood.

I enjoyed doing the diamond Painting on these coasters. I found that some of the designs are a bit difficult to see. These designs may be too detailed for a youngster to complete independently. Once I completed the designs, I sealed the front of the coasters using MinWax Polycrylic with a sponge brush to completely coat the designs. The first set of pictures are the coasters prior to my putting the Polycrylic on them. The later pictures are after I applied the Polycrylic and they are fully dried. I've found that using the Polycrylic is a great way to seal diamond Painting since it seals the "diamonds" so they won't come off the coasters, and the sticky parts are covered and no longer sticky. Once the Polycrylic is fully dried, the "diamonds" are just as sparkly as before they are sealed. The wax covers on the cork backing came off with careful pulling, and stuck to the back relatively easily.

This coaster kit comes with such brilliant colors of crystal drills ("diamonds")! The coasters are absolutely gorgeous and would look great on anyone's coffee table. The coasters are acrylic and not wood, which I much prefer. This diamond painting kit comes with everything you need to complete the coasters: 8 colorful acrylic coasters, 8 cork backers to keep them from sliding around, a coaster holder to display them when you're done, all the crystal drills you need, a diamond painting pen, wax, and drill tray. A note regarding the product info: It doesn't say the kit comes with the cork backers, but my kit did come with them. When I finish them all, I plan to seal them with a water-based, clear gloss sealer to protect the sticky places between drills from getting dust or pet hair stuck to them. It'll also help the coasters last a long time. I haven't decided yet if I'll keep them or give them as a gift. They're so pretty, I'm torn lol!
