Zombicide Box of Zombies 1 Ultimate Survivors Board Game...

If you are looking at this you are most likely very familiar with the Zombicide game and all the expansions. This pack is from the original 1st edition, but if you have the Reboot Box from the 2nd edition Kickstarter, the newer survivor cards are in there. Don't have the Reboot Box? No worries: you can still use the older 1st edition cards. It has the same info in just a different format. As for the miniatures, they are better than some of the 1st ed. ones as those can be hit and miss in quality. These are detailed enough for painting and I am happy with them. As for gameplay, these survivors have an edge over a standard one: they include 2 skills at Blue level rather than only 1, and they can go into zombivivor mode that makes them even more powerful and still in the game when they are dead. I would recommend that if one player plays one of these Ultimate Survivors, all players do. You'll feel weaker if not compared to another player if they have one of these, and you are using a standard survivor. Playing with this set will make almost all scenarios 'Easy' in difficulty.

The plastic minis were made from low grade plastic and are barely acceptable.

This expansion is much recommended for the added fire-power. Personally I enjoy the original sculpts better than these new ones (except for Phil), but the bonus upgrades these six get are powerful! Probably the biggest and most powerful character change is that Amy now gets the medic ability as a starting trait, meaning that from turn 1 she can start healing other characters. Im pretty sure this is the only character that can do that outside of Kickstarter exclusive characters. Phil also gets to start with a shotgun (huge buff from his handgun). The other 4 seem like their buffs help them out more later on in the game, but all in all this is a powerful expansion. Great for giving new players you are teaching an extra edge.

Product was great but was missing 6 of the experience tokens.

Same figures as the base game but I'll start my painting with these. Absolutely first rate quality. I'm amazed how each figure is set in its own plastic blister. Almost nonexistent seam lines.
