Good for beginner book binders. The board is not as thick as I prefer and it is hard finding anything thicker these days. You can get one standard size book cover from each board or 2-3 smaller ones. For those looking for a more sturdy cover material I reccomend chip board. The corners of this board are prone to smashing and it will warp somewhat when glue is applied.

These boards will warp over time. They are thinner than advertised at .08" (micrometer) not 1/10". This makes a huge difference. It's way too thin for large format books & slipcases (the reason for purchase). It cuts just like the genuine article but is really for smaller books & boxes. VERY small. I thought I'd try a quarto case in full leather to keep it's shape AND under a press with PVA glue for days, making all the proper checks. Still warped in low humidity atmosphere after 5-days. This might not Matter to the novice but is frustrating for those with experience. I spend the extra money buying from TALAS. It eliminates all the headaches down the road. These boards are just OK for crafting & OK for small books, but that's about it. Disappointment regardless of other reviewers.

This is the first and only book board I have ever used. I liked it a lot and had no problems. The corners came a little dented but I was cutting the board down so it didn't matter. In order to get the board to stay flat after adhering glue I had to leave under weights (large books) to dry. Otherwise it would have dried in a U shape.

The whole stack of board was dented, rendering this item unusable. Truly a disappointment.

I do not often use bookboard. I needed a strong, thick material that I could use to cut out a freeform shape for a multimedia project that would not warp when hung on a wall. This was very sturdy but it was difficult to cut with utility blades or similar means. Even though it didn't work for my needs I gave it 5 stars because I felt is was quality product for the purpose it was intended, bookboard. I ended up making my freeform shapes from Aves Clay Shay.
