I used these to wire up a solar trickle/maintenance charger for a car battery. Many connectors require a special crimp tool to wire up the pins. These use the "Euro" style straight clamp operated by a screw - no crude grinding of a screw on the wire - so easy to make connections without messing up the wire and no need for special tools. The plug/socket pair plug together well, and it is not easy to pull them apart. But they can be eased apart just by inserting a blade screwdriver between the two halves.

I bought some under the cabinet lining and had to cut the ends to run the wires so they were hidden. This allowed me to connect them easily. Wire stay secure.

I've lost so much time on this project trying to get these things to work. I really like how these blocks connect. I was working on smaller wires and they worked great. When I shifted to 12awg wire I hit a wall. I can't insert 12guage wire without the tip mushrooming and encroaching on the other terminal making a short a very real danger. I put ferrules on the wires to tame the bundles to see if that works but the grey ferrules, the smallest ones I can fit the12awg wire into, will not fit into the blocks. Before or after crimping. I also have a problem with some 24 and 16 gauge wires passing the tug test and still falling out of the blocks when I go to route the cables.

Use these for guitar pickups. Work great to create nice tight solderless connections

Used these to tie into some LED lights in the attic and worked great.
